"I've been to Barrel twice for brunch and once for happy hour. Each time enjoyed myself. For brunch, I've gotten the waffle with a side of eggs and the honey chicken biscuit. Both were good. The chicken biscuit comes with potato chips but the only con is you can't really substitute the chips for anything like the home fries. But let's get to the best part of brunch, the unlimited mimosas! The unlimited option comes with a decanter of orange juice and cranberry juice, as well as a peach syrup. They bring a bottle of champagne on ice and you can make your mimosas how you like, which is my favorite part.They also have an awesome bourbon and whiskey selection. I've been for happy hour too and had a nice time. I love bourbon so it's nice to go somewhere with so many options. The service this past weekend was great and we had a good time. Overall, barrel is a solid choice for brunch and for drinks."

"The homemade food is exceptional! The stuffed cabbage was absolutely delicious. Eating the mushroom barley soup made me feel like my Polish aunt was in the kitchen, secretly preparing her best recipes. They offer dried mushrooms at reasonable prices, as well as plum butter. This place is a true treasure of Eastern European cuisine tucked away in a corner of Queens. Food TikTokers should definitely come here to appreciate the authentic experience!"

"I've been meaning to go to the Pharmacy for years but the wait, seemingly always over 45 minutes for an early dinner, was prohibitive. Finally making it inside, the menu is pretty normal, nothing too fancy or exotic. After about two hours and several $7 pints we got our food. The food itself is fine, not great. Seems like the sausages are the way to go. The burgers I tasted were dry and just ok, very basic. The sweet potato fries were ok. To their credit, it is not an expensive meal without alcohol, and you get a good amount of food. But with all the lines and waiting I expected something more, leaving me disappointed and not wanting to go back a second time."

"The restaurant sat us outside in a heated tent when there were open tables inside. The server did not come by for some time, but he was friendly when he finally got to us. After we ordered, we had to wait again for our food to come out. The table next to us, who had been seated and their order taken after we had, received their food before ours. "We came for the Epic wine tasting 15 wines, 1 oz pours, $55. Sounded great and the pace was your own. The sommelier/server was knowledgeable about the wines but was not pouring 1 oz for each wine. Most of the 15 pours were 1/2 oz+ (barely enough to enjoy). My husband and I received the last dribbles of one bottle and when we waited expecting another bottle to be opened he said no that he couldn 't do that and didn 't seem at all concerned that we didnt receive our tasting. I think they oversold the wine tasting and tried to squeak out more tasting than the 25 oz in a bottle. He told us I 'll make it up to you but was never able to do that. Just disappointed and we left not feeling like it was the experience we thought we were gonna have."
