"I started with the onion bhaji, which came with about ten pieces in a bowl. They were excellent—crispy and not overly oily, unlike some I’ve had back in Britain. They were served with three dips: a spicy mint sauce, a vegetable pepper sauce, and a coconut paste. We even asked for mango chutney to complement the bhajis.
For my main course, I opted for a medium-spiced Chicken Tikka Masala, paired with pilau rice and a paratha. It was absolutely delicious! The masala had just the right amount of spice, and the sauce was rich and creamy. The paratha was outstanding, the best I’ve tasted in Los Angeles, and the long-grain pilau rice was perfect as well.
Overall, this has quickly become my new go-to spot in LA for curry that's as close to a British style as I've found. The only downside is that they use a coal fire in their open kitchen, and at times the smoke smell was quite strong, which might be an issue for those sensitive to wood smoke. Despite that, the food was so good that I’m planning to return tomorrow!"
