"This place offers solid Jamaican cuisine. I would give it 5 stars if not for a few issues: I ordered brown stewed shrimp with plantain, yellow rice, and cabbage. The shrimp was absolutely incredible—definitely the highlight of the meal. I’m still thinking about how delicious it was. However, the rice didn’t quite hit the mark. I asked for yellow rice but believe I received white rice instead. I don’t mind the mix-up, but the rice lacked seasoning. The cabbage was fairly standard, just mixed with carrots. As for the plantain, I expected more—only got two pieces, which seemed boiled rather than fried. Next time, I’ll be sure to request fried plantain. One thing to note: the oxtail meal is now $25, which is a big jump from $14 just two years ago. Despite these points, I enjoy the food enough to return."
