"Try the Boxties. We eat at Brazen Head every once in a while, and have found the food rather hit and miss of late. Among the misses is the fish and chips, which (both the fish and the chips) were overcooked and rather flavorless on a recent prior visit. This time, however the chef redeemed his or her self. The daily soup special, which featured bacon and sausage, potatoes, onion and carrots in a herb seasoned broth was truly phenomenal. And the Brigade Boxty, which had shrimp, true crab meat, red pepper and creamy sauce, served wrapped inside a potato pancake, was as delicious as can be. I highly recommend it. And of course, the beer selection is worthy of a visit all by itself. Service was very prompt and friendly.
So, it just depends on what you order as to whether you will leave with a smile on your face or a frown. Still, the Irish Pub atmosphere is fun, and there is frequently a live band playing in the evening.

Really Good. I hadn't eaten here in 10 years. The food is really good, as are the beers. It is a comfortable place to unwind. The menu is extensive, and features many Irish specialties. I tried a seafood stuffed boxty (stuffed potato pancake), and it was delicious. Our friends liked their bangers and mash and open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. Prices are reasonable and the service was friendly."
