"My date and I booked Prima for a special Christmas holiday dinner after reading an enthusiastic review in the Nashville Scene. It was the first time there for both of us, and we ordered from the Snacks, First Course and Second Course side of the menu. The lightly encrusted beef tartare that we shared for starters was extraordinary subtle, flavorful and an immediate hit. I selected the Jumbo Lump Alabama Crab for the First Course, my date had the Lobster Risotto. Again, we were impressed with the balance of flavors , although she observed that her risotto could have used a bit less salt. For the Second Course, she selected the Bone Marrow Crusted Beef Tenderloin, and I had the Duck Breast with Sweet Corn, Chanterelle Mushroom, Farro and Summer Truffle. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, and chef Andy Little's imaginative combination of ingredients was a delight and a revelation. For dessert, we split the Chocolate Cake, which was decadent. With two cocktails, a glass of wine and coffee for her, we spent just over two Benjamins with tip, but, for a dinner this exquisite and memorable, I think it was money well spent. Our waiter, Mike, was most attentive and very knowledgeable but never overbearing, the ambience was subdued and informally elegant, the presentation of the food was artful and a treat for the eyes, and Prima provides free parking in the Terrazo building. It was an experience we'll savor for a long time, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Go!"
