"We made a reservation two weeks in advance and were promptly seated upstairs for dinner. Our server greeted us right away to take our appetizer and drink orders, but it took 40 minutes for our two glasses of wine and two draft beers to arrive. Additionally, we waited about 25 minutes without any water until the hostess noticed our empty glasses and kindly filled them from a nearby pitcher, just as we finished our appetizers. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our chosen drinks. Although we saw several other servers efficiently attending to tables, our server unfortunately struggled to be clear, timely, accessible, and accurate, even mixing up our drink order. We would like to give Republic another try, as we loved the food and atmosphere. It seemed more like an unfortunate experience with our server rather than a reflection of the restaurant itself."
