"We had a weekend full of excitement, dedicating our time to each other. The tortilla soup was outstanding, with perfectly balanced spices and temperature. It was hotter than usual, but just right since we chose to sit outside. The guacamole and chips were fresh, with just the right amount of lime and lemon to enhance the flavors. The chips were crisp and delightful. The tempura shrimp was also fresh, juicy, and flavorful. The aioli sauce that accompanied the shrimp added a spicy kick that enhanced the dish even further. I ordered a drink called "Lavender Escape," which struck a perfect balance—not too strong or too weak—and I could taste all the ingredients. Each dish complemented the next, with precise spices that made everything flow beautifully together. To top it all off, a guitar player was performing 90s hits acapella as we watched the sunset, which truly made the weekend special. Our server, Jacob, was incredibly attentive and dedicated, making sure we had everything we needed. He was genuinely polite and even overly apologetic about small things, though I reassured him that it was completely understandable. This dinner with my sister was truly unforgettable, especially since we don’t get to see each other often. It was a fantastic experience, and I’m grateful to the staff for making it possible. With our busy lives, it’s important to occasionally escape reality and retreat into our own little paradise with the right person. This experience really boosted our spirits!"

"I wanted to love this place, local spot, beautiful interior, varietal menu. I have never been so disappointed. We walked in with a reso, were sat in a perfect corner table. Waiter brought glasses, no water and because my husband had a drink from the bar, didn't take my order. Came back a few minutes later with water, no wine and asked about specials. We ordered the truffle corn pizza as an appetizer and we were completely underwhelmed. The food was flavorless and left much to be desired. We ordered the ribeye and bolognese for entrees, again disappointing. The steak was not well seasoned and tasted of char from a dirty grill. The pasta was okay, but nothing special. It's actually sad we were told this was the best dish on the menu. When we asked for the check, we were confused when the whiskey prices for the same glass were different. The waiter took it to the bartender, printed a MORE EXPENSIVE receipt and came back asking us to pay. When we questioned this he explained they mis-charged us for one of the drinks, and the new price is correct. Are you kidding me? We were frustrated by the fact that us questioning the charges increased our bill, so the server can't back with yet another check. This time he took off the optional service charge. No resolution for their mistake, we mentioned the poor quality of the food, and then were told we can make it known if we didn't like it. At this point I felt like we were being taken advantage of and I was ready to go. $400 later, we walked out with a mediocre meal and a terrible experience. Don't waste your time here, there are so many better restaurants in town. Now I know why I was able to get a V-day reservation 2 days before. Needless to say we will never return."

"When we were ready to order, three of us wanted the New Bedford Scallops with rice, Piquillo pepper, bacon, squid, and aged Pedro Ximenez Sherry vinegar as our main dish. Unfortunately, the waitress informed us that they only had enough for one more order because they couldn’t get enough fresh scallops that day. While I appreciate their commitment to freshness, it was frustrating. The waitress then offered us the Alaskan Halibut and Short Ribs as alternatives. One friend decided to go with the Short Ribs, and I chose the Alaskan Halibut, which the waitress said was her favorite. The other two friends ended up ordering the New Bedford Scallops and the Hangar Steak. Now, let’s get to the verdict: **AMUSE BOUCHE:** A creamy cauliflower soup with a sprinkle of chili flakes. I love soups, especially cauliflower and, yes, cream, so I was pleased. **APPETIZERS:** I had the Braised Pork Belly with daikon and shishito pepper. This dish is quite popular, and while it was tasty, I have had better. The bottom was wonderfully tender, but the top crust seemed to be cooked for a few seconds too long. One of my friends ordered the Pure Pumpkin Soup, which was delicious—a lovely blend of sweet and hearty flavors. I enjoyed the touch of fried capers in it. **ENTREES:** For the main course, I had the Alaskan Halibut with roasted eggplant, hummus, baby artichokes, olives, and Pappadew pepper. I’m a big fan of seafood and Mediterranean cuisine, so I thought I would really enjoy this dish, especially since our waitress highly recommended it. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The fish was cooked adequately but could have been a bit more tender. The biggest issue was that it was very underseasoned. The accompaniments were decent but didn't add much flavor. Given that the chef has experience working in Providence, I was quite surprised. I sampled my friend’s New Bedford Scallops, which were good, but I found the rice a bit heavy. As for the Short Ribs, I can’t recall the details, but my friend didn’t seem to enjoy hers much—I found the texture to be a bit stringy and lacking in distinctive flavor. The Hangar Steak, which came with house-made mole, cippolini onions, and figs, was likely the standout dish at our table. The steak was tender, and the mole provided a nice warmth without overpowering the meat's flavor. **DESSERTS:** For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Bread Pudding. When most people think of bread pudding, they imagine a rustic dessert, but this version was more artisanal, and it was delicious—rich in chocolate flavor and very moist. My friends ordered the Peanut Butter Banana Sticky Toffee Cake, which they seemed to enjoy, although I didn’t get to taste it. Overall, the experience was quite mixed. There are other dishes on the menu that sound amazing, but given my hit-or-miss experience and considering the average cost of a meal here, I’m not sure how likely I am to return."
