"The waitress wasn’t much better. She mistakenly ordered the wrong appetizer for my wife, and when we pointed it out, she responded with an attitude. Ultimately, we were made to pay for the appetizer that we didn’t order and didn’t eat. My friend had to repeatedly ask for his beer until he finally received it—right as we were finishing our dinner.
When it came time for the check, we requested to split it. I didn’t ask her to calculate or separate items, as I was a waiter myself and knew better. Instead, I simply told her how much I wanted on each of the two cards. Without any courtesy, she pointed to a small note at the bottom of the menu that mentioned something about not allowing split checks. I would have accepted this policy if her demeanor had been polite, but it was quite the opposite.
As for the food, as I mentioned earlier, it was nothing special. My wife had the blackened fish, and I had the broiled shrimp—both of which were average. Additionally, the main reason we chose this restaurant was for the jazz music; however, it turns out that it was not played in the dining room but in the theater next door. I mention this because some might expect live jazz during their dining experience, but that won't be the case here.
Overall, we did not enjoy our visit and will not be returning."
