"I had a enjoyable dining experience here. The takoyaki was delicious, and I found the rolls to be decent; the Big Mouth roll and spicy tuna were particularly good. The Sassy Salmon was just alright and a bit on the sweet side, which wasn’t my preference. However, the steamed salmon wrapped in foil was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend trying that. The spicy cod karaage was passable, but the accompanying sauce was the best part—I’m not sure I’d order it again. I wouldn’t recommend the chicken karaage, as the pieces were large and somewhat dry. On the plus side, the tea was complimentary, which was nice, but it wasn’t refilled often enough (I think they should just provide two pots for our group, as we often ran out). We dined in the tatami room, which was a really fun experience. One of the questions on the reservation form asks about the occasion for the dinner (e.g., anniversary or birthday). I indicated that we were celebrating my birthday and even reminded the server, but they didn’t do anything special or provide a dessert, which was a bit disappointing. They might want to consider removing that question from their form if they aren’t going to acknowledge these occasions to avoid raising expectations. All in all, the total was $27 per person, including tip and tax, for our group."
