"The first thing I noticed, which I didn't like, was that the food was already cooked and displayed buffet-style. However, I didn’t let that stop me from trying the food. We chose to dine in, and I ordered okra stew over white rice, while my daughter opted for jollof rice with goat meat and plantain. The cashier informed us that we could eat first and pay afterwards, so we sat down to enjoy our meal.
Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my dish. The food was just okay; the meat in my stew was overcooked and tough, and the rice was undercooked. My daughter was also disappointed with the jollof rice—not a good sign, as we both love it. She managed to eat her meat and plantain, but her plate was filled with mostly rice, with just three small pieces of goat meat and about five plantains.
When we finished and went up to pay, I was shocked to find that our total was $45! I was truly taken aback. I wish I had taken photos of our plates to illustrate just how little we received for that price. I honestly expected to pay no more than $30; back home, that amount would have bought us enough food for two meals each.
I will not be returning to this establishment. The prices are exorbitant, the food quality is lacking, and the portion sizes are minimal. Never again."
