"Upon entering the restaurant, we were quickly seated. We informed our server that we wanted to sample a few wine flights, and he said he would notify the bartender. However, it took 15 minutes for her to come to our table. After another 10 minutes, we finally received our flights. The wine itself was enjoyable, and we made some excellent selections. The pours were generous, and the bartender checked on us a few times while we were sipping.
Eventually, when it seemed we were finished, the bartender said she would get our check. However, we ended up waiting another 15 minutes while she attended to four other groups and exchanged tips with them. Frustrated, I had to ask her where our bill was. She remarked that she hadn’t realized we were done, which was hard to believe considering we hadn’t had any wine for over 20 minutes. She finally brought the bill—$32. I asked her to wait and handed her a $50.
I usually tip well; if my bill is around $30 and the service is up to par, I leave a 30% tip. This time, however, I left some change and a note saying that better service could have earned her a better tip. Overall, while this place is decent with service generally good for most, our experience was mixed. We’ve encountered issues in Brentwood before, and Co Co Wine needs to improve their service. Step it up, Co Co; we were disappointed."
