"Was very disappointed. Service was good but the food was not what I was expecting. Why is it when you go to a fast food place in a smaller town, the food is never as good as it is in the city? My favorite in San Antonio was Golden Chick but I just moved back uo here and this Golden Chick has a lot of work to do. The tea was good, the fries good but would've been better if they had been hot and the chicken sandwich, the main part of my meal was horrible. The bun was hard and darker then it should be. The chicken crust not crispy like it should be and don't even get me started on how much gristle it had. I've eaten a lot of Golden Chick and this was the only time the food has been bad. Don't know what they are doing different from the ones in San Antobio but I will not be a returning customer. If this town knew how good its suppose to taste I promise this place wouldn't be in business."

"Got the limited surf and turf chicken tenders and fried shrimp. It was pretty good. It wasn't as horribly busy as I thought it would be for lunch on Easter, and they were fast at getting orders out. I also noticed that the cashier was particularly good at paying attention to what their customers' needs were as they were ordering/discussing food choices. Amazing staff for a fast food restaurant!"

"Hubby wanted to try for the first time. We had the wings with spicy dry season. The fried chicken reminds us of the church, so we enjoyed it. The roasted chicken we also enjoyed, the role was very soft with a touch of sweet. Great experience we will come back. Spicy season wings can not look the most beautiful, but they are good and crisp, on the small side, but that didn't get a low rating. Hubby had side salad that was fresh. Thank you. My rating is based on our experience, everyone will be different, I'm sure. We enjoyed our food"

"This is the best food I've ever had! The chicken is fantastic—the chicken sandwich is outstanding, with the perfect sauce and bun. "I wanted to share my thoughts on Golden Chick's service. During my recent visit to the drive-thru, I ordered four chicken thighs, six rolls, and a bag of ice, and I was charged $26.00! I pointed out to the employee that there seemed to be a mistake since I often order this and have never paid that much. I kindly asked him to double-check the math. He was polite but returned with the somewhat amusing response that "it must be inflation." If I hadn't been so hungry, I might have refused the order altogether. While the young man was nice, it was clear he struggled with basic math."

"It's no surprise that a lovely lady has been running this place for over 20 years. She truly knows how to treat her customers! While many businesses focus on what they can't do for you, she understands that people appreciate those who go the extra mile for their clients. Every time I visit, she prepares fresh, hot okra and makes a point to be friendly at the window. She even offered me a generous cup of ice water, unlike many places that try to charge you for something so simple. I really appreciated her kindness and the excellent care she provided today! "Used to … we get a large order every week to 10 days. The last two orders were terrible don’t know what’s going on over there, but if the food and service continues to stink, their move to the new location is going to kill them. The food last night was just terrible. I took pictures; it was so ridiculous. For $50+ dollar family orders, this is inexcusable … guess we’re going to have to start driving to Lindale."
