"My family was craving some Grecian chicken, so I decided to stop by Franksville since it's been a while. A nice gentleman behind the register took my order. Picked up 2 Grecian chicken dinners, one with rice and one with fries, and a double cheeseburger with everything on it. Ordered it to go, and once home, the food was still piping hot and ready to be devoured, so we all tore into it. Apart from being visually appealing, the food was also very excellent. The chicken was well-seasoned and roasted to perfection. The meat was tender, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone. The fries were thickly cut and ample, and the rice was perfectly cooked and had a bit of zest. The double cheese burger was incredible. Practically had to unhinge my jaw like an anaconda just to take bites out of it. Patties were perfectly cooked and juicy, and the onions and other garnish paired well with the rest of the burger. It was very filling and delicious. There was definitely enough food to feed a family of 3 or 1 highly voracious individual. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was good, the dining area was clean with plenty of seats, and the kitchen appeared to be quite clean, as well. The cooks in the back were quick, efficient, and Johnny-on-the-spot cooking and assembling orders while the workers behind the register were sending them out just as fast as the cooks were dropping them off. Despite the prices being very high, I am still looking forward to my next visit there and eventually trying out their other menu items, as the quality is worth every penny, but it's probably more financially viable just to indulge here every once in a while, given the high prices. Thanks for the excellent food and service! Your effective teamwork definitely shows. Vegetarian options: There are some salads that might qualify as vegetarian and probably also the fries. Dietary restrictions: There are no gluten-free options that I noticed, aside from the salads and maybe the tamales, and there are shrimp dishes, so be wary if you have a shellfish allergy. Parking: There are a number of spots around the restaurant, and one can always park in the McDonald's lot next door if need be. Kid-friendliness: I remember stopping by in here with my buddies after skateboarding when I was a little kid. Figured not much has changed with today's youth. Wheelchair accessibility: There is no automatic door function that I noticed, but the doors appear to be wide enough to accommodate an assisted mobility device."

"Hadn’t been here up until now, but I’ve driven past more times than I can remember in my life. Finally decided to say “why not?” and check it out for a late lunch. The atmosphere is nothing special, but it’s clean and even somewhat cozy in a way especially if you’re into places that feel more like a local hole in the wall. Our server was extremely polite and attentive, and we even had other members of the staff came to check on us when he was busy elsewhere. The prices are extremely fair in my opinion; You can get an meal big enough to feed two for $13 16, and that in itself is enough reason to give this place a chance. For the price you’d pay for a meal at most fast food places these days You can get yourself an entire seafood platter with fries and a salad. They’ve also got a few options for beer, which is a nice addition to the menu I didn’t expect to see when walking in. The food itself was solid I don’t find it to be anything worth raving about, but it certainly wasn’t a challenge for me to eat it and take home for leftovers. My fish was a little soggy (likely because we went during a lull at 2:45), but the shrimp I ordered with as well as my appetizers were stellar. Overall, I’d recommend coming here if you’re in the area and have a hankering for some pretty decent seafood with just 20 bucks in your wallet. The people who work here are very friendly and truly do care about making their customers feel at home and appreciated And that’s something I find myself barely able to say about most places these days."

"It's disheartening to realize a place where in the beginning of eating at American Diner, good atmosphere and good food was a place to always go but now as of lately, disappointment especially in the afternoon/evenings. Ordered items where server and/or cooks not paying attention to ordered items were wrong yet one was corrected. Okay taken care of. Dining experience started off okay but then turned uncomfortable as the afternoon staff consist now of mainly high school and college student's which their on cell phones, congregated in their groups of chatter and limited observing the needs of their customers... causing the atmosphere to feel uneasy as servers were just wanting to lag around, just get by, not wanting to get things done and prepared for the dinner shift. Yes it's understandable that being in a College town, the owner is wanting through these younger generations, to make his diner more college oriented by hiring only young folks yet hoping that work ethic is being taught. How ever what made for uncomfortable and unprofessional is observing two job applicants come in a young lady which the owner hugs yeah he may know her but still...be professional about it). I'm sorry but dressing inappropriate in short shorts, tight tank top and sneakers for an interview, No. Anyway, Interview proceeds, she's hired on right there and then she proceeds to goof around, hugging girls talking and laughing loud, which causes her glass to fall, breaking the glass beverage to spill all over the floor with customers near by all totally unprofessional in a place of business in front of customers. Meanwhile, the other young man who by the way came in a couple minutes after the young lady is dressed accordingly dress shirt, pants and shoes) is told by the owner to wait. How long? Don't know. Good luck to the young man. However how interesting that No Jobs were posted, in fact they were covered up....so. hmmm. Which is pretty sad to say that now a days It's not what you know, experience you have BUT WHO you know. Would we return? In time but only for the morning crew. They're more professional."
