"I had pointed out that the occasion was for my partner and my jubilee. from the moment we check on our repentance, we were greeted by the employees who congratulate us on our jubilee. all employees were warm, personal and professional, and they all helped make the night a beautiful experience. our waiter, sonny, was friendly, charismatic and very knowledgeable in the menu and in the location to ask the few menu-related questions that we asked him to answer thoroughly. our steaks were excellent and I highly recommend saving space for the cocoscake dessert. I would definitely recommend grill 23, especially for those who celebrate a special occasion."

"Harry's Savoy Grill was an ideal restaurant for an anniversary date night. Even after many years of being around, the restaurant is lovely and well maintained. The front entrance is attractive and only has a couple of steps going in, which I thought were fine for me. I didn't realize that once I got inside and had to go to the tables, I would be going down more than a handful of steps. I told my husband I was having one of my better days and weeks, so I would go ahead and navigate the steps, but he shared with me where another entrance is to the restaurant. He was aware of these from visiting for past work functions. As my other reviews hone in on accessibility and comfort for elderly, those with limitations and illnesses, I'm happy to share this information with those visiting for the first time. There's parking in the front—which is where we happened to be, but there's also parking around the side and the back of the restaurant. You'll find those parking areas close to an entrance readily accessible for all with canes, walkers, wheelchair etc. Back to the experience inside, we were there on a Friday night and seated immediately because we had our reservation. Although it was busy, the seating tables have a nice amount of space between them you can enjoy your conversation and your dinner without feeling like you're going to bump into someone else or feel as if they overhear everything. The rolls are fresh baked and delicious. The only thing I wanted was more of it, but I certainly didn't need it. I ordered the New York strip steak, added on a lobster tail, had the carrots spiced with garam masala, land a crisp, fresh Caesar salad. My husband's order of ribeye with mushrooms was cooked to perfection. Also, their wine and beer list is extensive enough to find a wonderful pairing with your dinner. Lastly, I enjoyed the creme brulee for dessert along with some coffee. Overall, we had a fantastic night, great food and atmosphere. I know I will be back when that fireplace is on during the winter! "The Bryant is a beautiful restaurant. It is VERY loud not only with the quantity of people but the loud music blasting which I can understand if the music gets louder as the night goes on. If you want to go for dinner with friends and enjoy conversation without speaking very loudly then this is not the place. The food is very good but on the pricier side. $17 for a **** Mary we think is quite excessive especially if it’s made with a lesser expensive vodka. Staff is incredibly friendly and they honor their reservations."

"I went to Bistro Menil for afternoon High Tea. Awesome presentation, and even better savory and sweet finger foods. Started with a glass of champagne, followed by a demitasse cup of cold vegetable and quinoa soup, then the 3-tier tray of finger food. Absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend it!"

"Came again when visiting the city after a couple of years and 100% impressed by everything. Original review: Very good experience overall and glad we made the trip. The server was friendly, attentive, and had great input. Cocktails were inventive and packed a welcome punch. Food varied between amazing and bursting with flavor to a bit bland. Calamari and shrimp app had a wonderful agrodolce and lemon aioli started things off right. We had 2 pasta dishes as mains, and there was a striking difference in flavor. The Ricotta Cavatelli was some of the most delicious pasta I've had in a long while. The sausage added great flavor to the dish and was a perfect pairing with the sauce. The other main dish was the Orecchiette. It was fine and everything was cooked properly, the sauce was creamy, but it was just bland overall, even with the sweet hits of cranberry. The goat cheese and sage cream just sort of made it a one note song. My wife mentioned that something as simple as salt and pepper would have made the dish a whole lot better, and she's correct. She usually is. For dessert we had the Myer Lemon Semolina Cake. Moist, full of flavor, and the mousse that accompanied it should be served in bowls by itself. Great visit overall with the low point being the Orecchiette, and even then it's not like it was terrible or inedible. I'm not entirely sure it warranted a paragraph but it was out of place with everything else. Prices were maybe a little steep for the quantity, but for the ambience and feel of the place it makes sense."

"I 'd like to start by saying that this restaurant should hands-down be the #1 contemporary American cuisine in St Louis and easily one of the top 20 or better restaurants in St Louis. My wife and I went here for a date night dinner and were completely impressed by everything from the service, to the wine selection, to the food, and ambiance. The restaurant itself has clearly attracted the attention of St Louis ' elite upper class as the restaurant clientele were so exuberant that we honestly felt a little out of place there. We enjoyed a delicious burette appetizer and I had the gumbo; which is a rotating option based on the availability of ingredients and chef 's inspiration. The gumbo wa probably the best gumbo I 've eaten outside of Louisiana. A lot of menu items had the chef 's Louisiana roots; gumbo, spices, and the Wedge Salad even came with craw fish on it (rather unique! . There were a number of chef 's special items and the menu was just large enough to provide options for everyone, while not being too bloated that it was hard to make a choice. The execution on the kitchen staff 's part was a perfect 10 out of 10. Our waiter was attentive, although clearly busy. We did not feel he was overbearing, but when the restaurant was full, it was evident that he was very engrossed in the number of tables he had. The only improvement area that I 'd offer/advise of future guests is that it was very evident that the people with the deepest pockets were given PLENTY of attention. My wife and I were well dressed and respectful, but the maitre 'D and front of the house staff spent most of their time ensuring that a select number of tables were enjoying their evening the most. A simple How 's everything with your meal from the front of the house staff is where the team could focus. Overall, we definitely will be back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The price point is clearly well represented on TripAdvisor at the level. For the two of us, we spent 400 (including tip and ordered a lower-tier bottle of wine. An adult family of four or two couples on a date night could easily spend close to 1,000 here (including alcohol and tip ."

"We were really looking forward to returning to Bar One, but this experience was quite different from our previous visits. We had a midday reservation, and when we arrived, it appeared that the restaurant was still open. After waiting about an hour and a half to be seated, we then waited an additional 40 minutes for our waiter to take our order. Unfortunately, more than half of the menu items were unavailable, which was very disappointing. Our drinks arrived only after our meals, and when the manager came over to check on us, we mentioned our long wait for food items. Peter stopped by to say hello at our table, but the service and the lack of food options really tainted our experience. On a positive note, the lychee martinis were fantastic."

"I've had this place bookmarked for a long time...I've even suggested it to many people traveling through Chicago. We were very excited to eat brunch here before flying out that afternoon. We arrived for our 8am reservation and were informed thatbrunch didnt start till 9am..... we didn't know and were disappointed but we figured the breakfast would still besufficient. My partner had the somerset breakfast..... plain eggs, protein, toast, and potatoes. And a tea Okay. Cool...simple . I got the short rib shakshuka. Lack luster and didnt look or taste fresh... the toast wasn't anythingspecial.. The pain au chocolat was 6$ and one of the worst I've ever had. Ugly on the outside, Raw inside. And a weirdlysticky glaze ontop that was so unnecessary and just made our hands sticky. There was no server on the floor, just the hostess,who never came to check on us or make sure we had water or anything. The coffee was really good, La Colombe. Incredibly overpriced $60 ish) for diner level food. Would've happily paid way more than that for the bangin brunch I was expecting/ hopingfor."

"heard really good things about this place so I decided to come here for my birthday. it took the server 30 mins to even take our drink order, she didn 't introduce herself or say happy birthday when we told her it was my birthday. mind you the restaurant was not busy either? I felt very ignored my whole visit. we waited over an hour for our food as well. the piano man was amazing and perfect, the only good part about my experience. so ridiculous this took so long. we watched 2 other tables get their food and desert and leave before we even got our food. such a horrible experience. I am a waitress and that makes me even more upset about my bad experience here. would not recommend and I will NOT ever be back. ALSO, the host Joe sat me at the WRONG table, then proceeded to call me and leave a very RUDE message. it was not appreciated. very rude when he is the one who messed up!"

"This was the worst experience ever. I came from Nashville for vacation, and the pictures I saw online were outdated; the place did not look like what I expected. We had to buy food from Walmart because the refrigerator was broken and my groceries spoiled. I spent $80 there, and my daughter spent some money too. I also had a one-year-old with me, and the milk went bad. On top of that, the dishwasher didn’t work either. I’m very disappointed. "I recently visited this restaurant for the first time in many years with a friend last Friday evening. We had been regulars at their old location before the pandemic, which was a very old establishment. Their new fancy building is just down the street from the previous location, and it's clear they invested a lot in this upgrade. It seems they are trying to attract a wider range of customers, not just their previous older patrons. The new large parking lot is a plus. We were seated in the dining section, but there were also high top tables near the bar. The service was excellent, our server mentioned he had been working there for a long time and made our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I ordered 1lb of their crawfish for 9.99, which was just okay. They don't provide any sauce or fixings unless you pay an extra 1.99. I was still hungry, so I tried to order their sautéed crab fingers but they were out, so I opted for the pasta glacier (regular size) recommended by our server. Though it didn't seem very cajun inspired, it was a creative dish with goat cheese, veggies, scallops, shrimp, and a light sauce that was fairly tasty."

"A group of us stuck in Mickey Land for a convention were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oskars in Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. While I'm not a fan of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual including a smoked salmon bar, ham bar, and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of families with kids so it was a bit noisy but that didn't really detract ... everything the group of 4 tried we loved. Only two things that were a little strange was that the cost of the buffet only included mimosas, not **** Marys and no eggs Benedict on the buffet. However, what impressed me most was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar it was empty even though two staff members I asked told me it would be replenished. When I mentioned it to our waiter he came back and said they were going out which was disappointing. The manager came over apologetically and said they even sent Hikton next door but they were out until Monday ... not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate of the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time ... THAT is service."
