"I ordered some dishes from this neighborhood Caribbean restaurant a while back. I got chicken for my family and shrimp for myself. Overall, it was decent—well-seasoned with no major complaints. It's been some time since my last visit, so maybe I should stop by again on a day when I’m not in the mood to cook my own delicious meals. The service was satisfactory during my visit, so I hope it's improved since then. The atmosphere is designed for quick service; you come in, place your order, pick up your food, and head out—definitely not a place to hang out. I’ll be back for sure! #foodieforlife"

"This place is a gem! After a long, exhausting day, my partner and I were feeling pretty low. We decided to try the buffet, and the guy behind the counter was incredibly patient and friendly, even though we were a bit out of it and unsure about our choices. We ended up ordering crispy salmon, jerk chicken, baked mac and cheese, and Rasta pasta, along with a refreshing lemon limblushie. We also had some crispy plantains that were perfectly heated. Honestly, it might have been the best meal I've ever had! The portions were huge, served piping hot, and the total cost for both of us was under $25. If we hadn’t been so tired, we probably would have had leftovers (and they even provided great containers for takeout). If you haven't tried this place yet, what are you waiting for?"

"Great homey Jamaican restaurant! I came here a few years ago and completely forgot about it unfortunately. I'm eating low carb and appreciate that I could just order the meat. Also the prices are very reasonable. I paid 6$ for a 1/2 lbs of j chicken that comes with a small j sauce (delicious) hint: order an extra one only 75 cent I had the j chicken and let me tell it was delicious and filling. Keep in mind the chicken is weighed with bones. I recommend getting one lbs plus of food. The j sauce was delicious and had a sweet spicy kick. Highly recommend!! Keep in mind this is a small business but I was in and out with my order in less than 5 min! Delicious"

"I live in Staten Island so before I went to unique kitchen and bakery I called to make sure they had what I wanted which was ackee and salt fish . When I called the lady that answered the phone seem to me like she didn’t feel like talking , but she assured me they had what I wanted. Upon me arriving. , I noticed the voice of the lady from the phone was the one I was placing me order with . I now know why she didn’t feel like talking because it look to me like she jus rolled out of bed , and she was moving like a snail . Now to the food . I got ackee and salt fish and boy oh boy let me tell you SALT FOR REAL . OMG it was so nasty. All I taste is salt . I don’t recommend this place trust me . But I know they still have people that have to see for themselves but you’ll just be wasting your money !!"

"My 13-year review in 30 seconds. The food is certainly good (jerk chicken dinner), but the older woman who serves you in the middle of the day rolls her eyes after you stare like a criminal and expect no greetings (she hates her job, but also after all the years still working there). Because of our heritage and the authenticity of food, I have visited this place as a child for over a decade, but years later as an adult it is regrettable to say that the atmosphere is even colder and more involuntary than before, and that is too bad because I believe that if their service is more hospitable, they would receive honestly more business from the neighborhood (but they survived the pandemic, so I must give them some credit). Don't get me wrong now, I enjoy supporting local businesses, but I'm not convinced that my money has ever been worth so low standards or bad attitudes. At this point his foolish to continue spending my hard-earned money in this place, as there are many other restaurants that would recognize their customers by saying hello to take my money, and welcome me to their facility. Needless to say that the quality of the company is not better, but do not take my word for it. Go and see yourself, but don't crawl there! Either way, it's a tormenting experience. "Whenever I am craving for a Smokey, juicy, slightly spicy flavored jerk pork, this is the place that I go to. This is a tiny place that offers Jamaican foods which includes Jerk pork, jerk chicken, salt fish, ackee, liver, pumpkin soup, beef patty, chicken patty, rice and peas, curry chicken, curry goat, oxtail and a lot more. Mainly a take out place. Today, I came here to buy Jerk pork only as I already have rice at home. It can be bought for a quarter of a pound, half pound or one pound. Half pound will cost about $11.00 . They offer a variety of sauce but what I mainly like is the spicy orange sauce (Jamaican hot chili pepper) and the red sauce which is slightly on the sweeter side. The price per portions are reasonable. Everything the I have tried here before was delicious, flavorful/not too strong and always the right seasoning and taste. You will always be warmly greeted by the very nice lady on the counter, service is fast and quick. Give it a try."

"The food was excellent—full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Upon my arrival, I appreciated knowing that the food was being prepared fresh, as I had to wait for some chicken to finish cooking. I also took the opportunity to buy some Jamaican seasonings since they have a small store as well. At first glance, the portion sizes seemed a bit small, but they were actually more than enough to satisfy my hunger."
