"I had a girls' lunch at this charming, trendy restaurant. It's simply yet tastefully decorated. While the menu was somewhat limited, the food was excellent, and I felt the prices were reasonable. However, if you're looking for a place to have a conversation, I would recommend the bar area instead. The back room was extremely LOUD, which made it an unwelcoming environment to enjoy dessert or drinks. The waitress was very efficient, but she came across as a bit robotic. She performed all the tasks correctly, but there wasn't much genuine warmth, and any questions or requests seemed to be an unwelcome interruption to her routine. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by, but I think I'll explore other options next time I'm in the area."

And why did the chicken tenders taste like they were just coated in plain flour without any seasoning—no salt, no pepper? Your entire establishment needs improvement. My review has 42k views, so it’s clear this is a big deal. You should take this feedback seriously instead of brushing it off because it seems like you have bigger issues to deal with. "The sound system at this restaurant is awful, and it seems like nobody there acknowledges the echo. When I first arrived, it was bearable, but then the waitress turned on the home theater, and the sound bar just echoed throughout the place. It got even worse during the commercials. The volume of the two TVs at the bar added to the problem, creating a constant echo. Even the back of the restaurant was echoing. I mentioned this to Steve, but he seemed confused and didn't take any action. I won’t be coming back."

The menu primarily features vegan and vegetarian dishes, but I noticed that the cucumber watermelon salad is labeled as vegan, even though it contains feta. I checked with the staff, and they confirmed that it is not vegan feta; they mentioned they would address the labeling issue. Currently, they only offer two vegan salads and an Impossible burger patty. They do have the option to add marinated tofu for an additional $5, which may be a bit pricey but still delicious. Given that this area lacks many vegan options, it's still a viable choice, but I hope they expand their vegan selections in the future."

"As the description states, this is THE recommended restaurant for authentic Basque food served ?family style? which means you are seated at tables with six other folks. Dinner is pricey but worth it. The $40 you spend for a lamb dish comes with otherBasque dishes including a minestrone type soup and homemade bread, a salad with traditional beans, fresh real mashed potatoes,string beans, and a chorizo and hominy dish and your main course which was 3lamb chops for me. Dinner also includes a burgundywine and bread pudding for desert. They serve. a local specialty drink they call ?Picon Punch? which packs quite the punch. Staff was courteous and quick."

"I visited on a Monday morning to get one of the best breakfasts according to readers of Northern Virginia Magazine. The interior struck me as brighter than the pictures while also clean and inviting. A corner perch at the bar facing the kitchen served mewell as did Megan, a engaging and friendly staffer who took my order and even suggested something I did not see on the menu (andglad she did). Food arrived at appropriate times throughout my hour and a half there, so my experience was well-pacedoverall. I started with their spinach salad with added chicken, followed by eggs and French toast with sausage and turkeybacon, and finished with beignets at Megan’s suggestion. The dressing for the salad was bright and just enough to go with thespinach and bacon. I might have liked some mushrooms with this salad for extra flavor. The chicken had a good color but felt andtasted a little overcooked. Eggs on the other hand were cooked nearly perfectly with a soft and ever so slightly runny texturewhich I personally like. The sausages and turkey bacon tasted good. The French toast could have used some more color and crunchfor my liking but overall I liked all I ate. The beignets were a second star along with my eggs, as these five morsels had agreat crunch outside and chewy inside. I liked the taste of the raspberry sauce best, but the other two sauces were plentyflavorful as well. My total as I remember came to between $35-$40 excluding tax and tip, leaving me with a decent value for mymoney especially with the service (mostly provided by pleasant young locals or students or recent graduates from what I couldtell). I would be tempted to visit the next time I go to Burke Lake Park or venture towards Manassas to see what other offeringswould suit my fancy."

"My new favorite restaurant! I came across this place while staying near Pioneer Square, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. "I was a guest in the hotel and didn't want to go far for dinner. Gave the restaurant in the lobby a try and here's how it went. Took a seat at the bar and was quickly attended to. I ordered the toasted raviolis and the Mediterranean salmon. Decent wait time for the food to arrive. Server was nice and did his routine checkin. The toasted raviolis weren't that great. I ended up with a over fried batch and some uneven spots. Someone would call this extra toasty. They used a garnish to hide what they did. The ends were too crispy and some spots were almost cooked right. You can tell they were frozen together based on how they came out of the fryer. I burned my mouth but I'm the idiot that couldn't wait to try them so that's on me. The side of marinara needs some help. The salmon was ordered well, because I like my salmon crispy. The orzo was absolutely delicious, which saved this review from a total disaster. The fish was seasoned well and the citrus sauce was a nice addition. Overall, the main dish made up for it but the portion size doesn't match the price. I guess they figured if they add a word like Mediterranean to the name, they can charge more."

"Pepperoni and diced tomatoes is soooo good! Today was our 2nd trip there and it was amazing both times. New owner, changes are coming, but the same cook back there for years. "I'm not sure if Bitterroot Brewery has changed ownership or management in the past couple of years, but during our last two visits, we found ourselves constantly battling flies that seemed determined to invade our space and our food. We've dined there many times over the years, and this fly problem was never an issue before. As we tried to enjoy our meal while swatting away flies, we witnessed fellow customers attempting to tackle the problem with an electric fly swatter. My wife and I frequent a variety of restaurants in the Bitterroot area, and this establishment has the worst fly situation we've encountered anywhere."
