"The taste is very good but the service is WORST( understatement) and the quantity is average. I went on a dosa night. They force you to eat idli, upma, wada and pongal along with the first dosa (plain dosa only) which I didn't want to eat as I came for dosa night and didn't want to waste as it is food!! And you dont have the option to change or modify the items. This is their trap to fill your stomach after the first serving itself. Then we ordered 2 dosas which came after 20 mins!!! Then we ordered 3 dosas next. The server brought only the dosas without the chutney! I waited for the chutney to arrive which never arrived even after asking multiple times. I waited for 15 20 mins!! Finally, as I was finishing my dosas (WITHOUT THE CHUTNEY), the server brought it and when I told him that I have already finished eating my dosa. He asked me to order another dosa to eat with this chutney which obviously i didn't want to!!When i asked for the check, they charged us 15 usd per person which was not accurate from what they said a week ago. When i told the server that their price was 12.99 usd ,he told that they changed it 2 months ago. Which obviously was not correct as they told me that it is 12.99 usd a week ago!!Next, they have halal sign on the front door. I called them and asked if they have a certificate for halal meat, they said yes. After reaching the restaurant, when i asked about it they did not have it . The receptionist told me that they have it inside and will get it and show it to me which never happened. So, basically I am not sure if they really have it. Why would a restaurant keep their halal certificate inside? They also have items on the menu they dont serve yet so check with them before going there. It doesn't end here!! I also tried ordering online. They close at 1 AM in the night and ran out of mutton biryani at 8 PM!! And replaced it with bone in chicken biryaani without informing/asking me. When I called them to change it to boneless chicken biryaani they said ran ran out of that as well. Then I asked them to change it to fried rice, then they said that the chef is not available. Really? At 8 PM?? When they close at 1 AM!! I mean come on!! When the chicken biryani arrived, the chicken quality was very bad. The meat was all pink on the inside. Looked like the chicken was not fresh at all!!!I lost trust in them and I am not going to return to this restaurant ever again!!!Now, I understood why their rating is so bad online!! The service!! I would have given negative rating if possible!!"

"My husband and I were in town on business, and were specifically looking for an Indian restaurant. We are very glad TripAdvisor reviews led us to Saffron. We arrived just as they opened for their dinner service, at 5 PM, on a week night. The restaurant was empty, but we were met with a big hello and smile from the young lady at the front reception area. We ordered the Butter Chicken $16 made with the addition of coconut milk per my inquiry, because I like coconut , the Chicken Begam Bahar $17 , garlic naan bread $3.25 , and a mango lassi $4. They also brought us a basket with, I think, papadam crackers, and 2 different dipping sauces. The latter was complimentary. Our meals were served fairly quickly, and oh my! OUTSTANDING! Everything, right down to the crackers, was absolutely delicious. And the lassi was the best I’ve ever had very rich, and creamy. As an aside, patrons did start to fill up the restaurant as the night went on. As per the small ish parking lot right under the foot bridge, it’s probably best if you can dine earlier in the evening than later so you can snag a spot. But nonetheless, eat at Saffron whenever you get the opportunity. We travel to the DC area often, and will return to Saffron. I also want to say that if you have time, walk around the back of the little strip mall to visit the Indian and Middle Eastern grocers, which are almost next to each other. Both are gems, as well! In summation: 1. GREAT food 2. Friendly, prompt service 3. Clean tables 4. Good sized portions 5. Bonus grocers in rear of complex"

"poor service. I mean, really bad. today on sept pm for buffet. initially had limited teller, no dishes for several items such as idly sambhar (as in fact how to eat idly sambhar directly in plate without dish) . when I ask for dish, gentleman had intelligent answer that her youngs used it some of us already have a bowl that were held for rice pudding (kheer). but again why do they have buffet when they have young not enough bowls and teller. lady and kerl crawled around us while we eat. I felt as if they were checking how much we eat and all, why they have to dig around while some eat. on the top guy who gave me snoty answer, had come while we ask it, they are ready to take his teller. as I have eaten rice pudding (kheer and I had my teller right next to me, this guy came and began to pick up my teller and at the same time he said they are ready (as really, why are they in so much hurry when some eat and have to disturb while some eat. I wasn't there to eat for free, never had written reviews, but I felt that I needed this time, as I humiliated myself today. we are usually happy to go maharaja cuisine or most Indian restaurant in west omaha, but once I was told by some so I tried it in the last few months and had really good experiences like the owner kerl at this time, that was reason why I went back. this was the last time that I would never go or recommend that someone give up there. Important for lady and guys working this afternoon. if they have buffet service every time some go to fill again, that we assume to change plates to save others from food pollution. and teach them to the mind that instead of snotty answer that dish from others in my group (we were adult and children) had been used from some dish. he should have said that we are of bowls and are washed, I will bring it as shallow. again it is buffet must have common tool available all time / eating was ok. but they as we were treated I was almost not in the mood to eat / omaha have much better Indian restaurant and have much better customer service then this Indian restaurant that is not worth what I paid them."
