"Absolutely fabulous, I 'm SO looking forward to coming back. The restaurant is small, so luckily they weren 't super busy when we walked in. We got greeted and seated right away. I had green tea to drink, and started with miso soup, gyoza, and the coconut shrimp. The miso was very simple--not even sure if there was tofu in it or I just didn 't get any. But good flavor none the less. The gyoza wrapping is definitely made in house. The sauce that comes with it is great, and the order comes with 5. The coconut shrimp though--that 's where it 's at. I 'm not sure exactly what sauce they put on it but I loved it as did my boyfriend. Some of the shrimp have the tail already cut off which I appreciate. For sushi we couldn 't make up our minds as they have so many good sounding options. We limited ourselves to four rolls though. My pick was the butterfly madam as I 've been super into lobster and crab lately--this is the one on the very left of the photo. Lots of good flavor, just hard to eat a piece in one bite, so if you 're going on a first date, stay away lol Next is the Godzilla roll which is always a safe bet. It was creamy and good. The toro blue fin was my boyfriends choice, and the mango is extremely fresh, the truffle oil is a unique factor I 've never had on sushi before but definitely want again. I 'm not super big on tuna but I could handle this roll. The last one (very right) is my personal favorite--the crunchy melt. I could eat this every day. I 've had mozzarella cheese melted on sushi before and it 's one of my favorite things, but can 't find everywhere. This place does it the best. If you check in on Yelp, you also get free ice cream! We were too full to do that, but maybe next time when we come back we can try to save some room."

"I mean 10/10 is an understatement. The restaurant, the ambiance, the open kitchen and the service is only the start! Juniper, our server, was not only amazing but also kind of enough to make our dining experience exceptional. She recommended thenon alcoholic drink Coco Melon which tasted like a honeydew melon lemonade but slight subtle. But the ginger ale was the realstar of a drink! Amazing amazing amazing. I?ll start with the shareables or the HOT/ROBATA. 1. Corn: You?ll be nuts to not trythe corn. It?s a grilled corn with garlic miso aioli, chili powder topped with shaved paprika. I could eat 10 of these alone. The flavor was INSANE. 2. Jaga Bata was devine let me explain why. The smoked potatoes with the mushrooms had such a deepflavor. It was a rich dish with an aioli that was to die for. I?m not a mushroom person but let me tell you, I think I?m ashroom lover now.. not the kind you?re thinking of but the AFURI kind 3. Nasu: the smoked eggplant with ginger, DELICIOUS. But Iwouldn?t get it again, not a big ???? gal 4. Shishito: it tasted like a grilled/smoked shishito pepper but a million timesbetter. Just try it and thank me later!! 5. Saba Shioyaki: holy mackerel. This is a whole meal on its own okay.. like don?t tryto be kind and share it. You need this for yourself. For the main meal: I got the yuzu ratan, which is their spiciest ramen. Itusually comes with chashu pork, I asked for no pork. Chicken broth usually doesn?t have much flavor, I was concerned it wouldhave more of a pho like broth. I was WRONG. I think a bowl on its own was definitely shareable! So splurge on the apps and get aramen to share. How romantic is that. I am totally go back to try the sushi. Oh and did I mention they have an outdoor patio?Oh and there was a puppy out there? so patio, dog friendly and AMAZING food. Yeah that?s a dream combo."
