"We had an excellent breakfast. The gluten-free banana pecan waffles were fantastic and did not disappoint. My husband tried the chicken and waffles, which he enjoyed. We also sampled the fresh watermelon lime juice and cucumber lemonade, both of which were amazing! We couldn't resist trying the fried avocado wedges—they were the best I've ever had. The service was friendly, and the staff took great care of us."

"We were visiting from out of town and were looking for a good neighborhood bite to eat before catching the train back to the airport. I called ahead and the host said they could seat us right away. We arrived and everyone was so friendly! The atmosphere and decor were so much fun! Our server provided great recommendations (the whipped feta was AMAZING! and was able to get us fat and happy with time to spare to catch the train. I checked out their merch while dining in and decided I would order some shirts later. Fast-forward a few months and I finally place an order for several Happy Camper t-shirts. The order was fulfilled quickly, but was missing a few items. I reached out to the Happy Camper team via email and Sarah, with the social media team, was able to provide a speedy resolution. Overall, my experience with Happy Camper has been nothing short of amazing! I always recommend the Wrigleyville location to my friends and am looking forward to trying their Denver location next month! 5 stars all around!"

"Quaint cafe in the heart of a rustic town. I pass through this town once or twice a year and I must stop here to eat. As a single person, sitting at the coffee bar is the option because otherwise, waits to get tables for groups can be a half hour. Today, all I had to do was hear the three specials. Two were vegetarian and one was vegan. I also saw a Vegan Pumpkin Cheesecake in the dessert case. Did not have to look at the regular menu to decide the Spinach Artichoke Pie and Chili was the way I wanted to go (after I heard the chili was vegan they did not mention it until I told them I assumed it wasn't). These were technically two entrees so they came with a side and a scone. I ate these in house and took a Tomato Pie entree to go. With a Basil Mint (yogurt) smoothie, this vegetarian was happy. Perusing the menu online to add this cafe to Happy Cow, I noticed much more for vegetarians and vegans alike. My server was knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan options, although not always labeled for easy determination, and she knew the difference between the two. I don't think you can go wrong by giving this place a try if you get the chance to. Just be cognizant, as we all usually must be, and ask if you have questions about ingredients. Wherever I go, I make sure the server knows I am vegetarian and that they know that means that chicken and fish are not vegetables despite what they may have heard. I am going to message this cafe as soon as I finish this review to urge them to label veg*n options because it would serve them and their customers better. If you visit here, maybe you will decide to inform them, too? Since 4 of 5 stars is the highest permissible rating, I went with 3 because I believe they could do better to communicate/label the veg options."

"The food was extraordinary and everyone in my party agreed. The food selection has something for everyone and was professionally presented. Additionally, the wait-staff was excellent in that they were timely, personable, and had a sense of urgency about them The place, however, is noisy and I imagine that those who wear hearing aids would be challenged. I suspect that some strategically located acoustical panels and surfaces could mitigate the issue. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise. We live a couple hours away but this place is worth the trip and we will be back."

"Kanela Breakfast Club in Chicago is a must visit for anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable breakfast experience. I eat here regularly, and I'm always impressed by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, some of my favorites include the monkey bread, the goat cheese omelette, and the blueberry pancakes. The monkey bread is a must try it's a giant cinnamon bun that's served warm and gooey. The goat cheese omelette is light and fluffy, and the blueberry pancakes are packed with fresh blueberries. In addition to the delicious food, the staff at Kanela Breakfast Club is also top notch. Seriously the best! They're always friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure that you have a great experience. If you're looking for a delicious and enjoyable breakfast experience, I highly recommend Kanela Breakfast Club. You won't be disappointed."

"We also ordered a small Caesar salad to share, but, of course, they forgot to include any utensils with our hotel delivery. We ended up having to eat the salad with our fingers, dipping each piece of lettuce into the dressing. Had it been presented properly, the salad would have been enjoyable. (As a side note, the menu claimed it was a “Little Gem lettuce” Caesar salad, but it was actually Romaine, which was fine, though still a bit misleading.) Overall, while I might consider dining in at this restaurant in the future, I won't order delivery from them again—there are simply too many other options out there. The only reason I didn’t give a one-star review is that, once we figured out how to eat our meal, the food actually tasted good."

"I've been trying to give this restaurant a fair chance, but I've finally had enough. When I visited today at 12:45 PM, there were only two other customers, so it wasn't exactly busy for a Tuesday. I ordered a cappuccino, and what I received was quite surprising—let's just say it looked more like something you'd serve a pig than a drink for a person. How am I supposed to enjoy this? It's baffling how one can mess up a cappuccino. Honestly, it's almost laughable. The food here is quite inconsistent, and no one seems to know how to make a proper cappuccino. Additionally, the staff isn't particularly friendly—it makes me wonder if the owners aren't paying them enough. I've made the decision to never return here again."

"I had a wonderful time at this restaurant with my good friend, and we were fortunate to snag a table outdoors for brunch. The food was delicious, although it leaned a bit on the sweeter side depending on your choice. We shared the MONKEY BREAD, which came with cinnamon, honey butter, caramel, and toasted walnuts. I ordered the CALIFORNIA BENEDICT, featuring a poached egg, avocado, sautéed spinach, tomato, and sriracha hollandaise on an English muffin—definitely a 5/5 recommendation! It also came with a side of potatoes that pleasantly exceeded my expectations. My friend chose the RED VELVET FRENCH TOAST, topped with cream cheese frosting, fresh strawberries, and crème anglaise. I also had a Bloody Mary on the side. Overall, the food and service were good, but the only drawback was the long wait time of about 45 minutes to an hour. However, considering that we were in Steerterville, it was somewhat expected. Despite this, I would definitely return, though I wouldn't go out of my way for Kanela. I'd give it a solid 4/5 for being a great breakfast spot."

"Took my husband here for his birthday. We started with cocktails and three apps: burrata, short rib bites, and spicy potatoes. Of the three, we’d order the short rib bites, super tender, melt in your mouth, but it was a touch too sweet for me. We split the entrée, the steak frites with chimmichurri and it arrived in two separate plates. The wait for our entree took a long time, so our server and her manager made it right by comping a dessert, which was very appreciated! The restaurant was very cold as we were near the door but I draped my coat over my shoulders, and it was ok. Had a great time and we will be back!"

"Stopped in for breakfast having the Croque Madame.Please look up some recipes for Croque Madame as what you serve here is not at all what a Croque Madame is.Get rid of the Texas toast sized bread. It's too dry and overpowering for the meal. A couple slices of french or sourdough bread would be an easy improvement. The sandwich isn't supposed to be in a pool of bechamel sauce either. It just makes the sandwich taste like soggy flour how you serve it. Terrible.The ham you serve with the sandwich is good, keep that.Please look up a few images with Google and make that instead of what you're making.Staff was fast and efficient.Coffee is generic and far from standing out."
