"It has been several years since I?ve been to Skeeter?s Mesquite Grill in Kingwood Texas. A lot has changed since this was pre-pandemic. One thing that hasn?t changed is the wonderful smell of grilled meat as you approach the front door. They smokeand grill all of their food. The menu is much the same: fajitas, burgers, fries, onion rings and such. They also have maintainedtwo fully functioning margarita machines. However it seems like they?ve gone through a facelift. It seemed like they have grownup. At one time, this place was kid team central. I?m was a favorite hang out for elementary age kids to celebrate after a game- complete with crayon drawings on the walls and various little gaming machines . It was friendly but dark and somewhat had aMcDonald?s type feeling. Now the crayon scribblings are gone from the wall. Also I didn?t see the gaming machines. Mostimportantly, the ceiling, the walls and everything seem to be considerably brighter. Reasonably priced and the television setsare still strategically placed around the open concept building. I highly recommend this place for families, kids, or evenadults on a date."

"I've been eating at Los Tios since the 70's and it's still one of my favorite places to get Mexican food. Last night our waitress suggested the street tacos and boy am I glad she did!! They were delicious and very fresh! 5 small street tacos with rice and beans, and of course, a Presidente margarita. Just in case we were disappointed with her suggestion, we decided to split 2 plates. My go to is always the tacos al carbon. The beef has wonderful flavor! I'm almost certain something has changed with their rice because it was much better (not that it was bad before, but it was lighter and fluffier than previous times . The chips are light and thin (not a fan of heavy thick chips, so theirs are perfect! . Red and green salsa are served with the chips. Service is always great, food is always flavorful and prices are very good. Thanks for another great visit! Keep it up, Los Tios!!"

"READ THIS Sorry Skeeters but this time around, I have to give you ONE FAT F only because a G is not allowed. It can 't get any lower I guess... First of, you need a lunch menu. Everything my daughter and I ordered was $12.00 and up. For that I go CheeseCake Factory. I asked for a lunch menu and the cashier said hu? Ok fine... Let 's start with expediting. It took 40 minutes for my order to arrive. I kept seeing plates leave the window and hearing costumers around me complain anyway. They too had no food after a long wait. After two attempts to get the manager to find out my order, turns out it was sitting there being passed over . Unacceptable! My daughter had to pack her lunch for her lunch hour was coming to an end. She ended up eating it for dinner. Let 's talk quality The kitchen is absolutely disgusting. I leaned over to check it out and I regretted being there. But it 's ok. Time was running out. No time to go somewhere else. Yes I have been watching Chef Ramsey a lot; so what... thanks to those shows I am learning to watch out. Before you order, lean over and look at the kitchen floor, burners etc disgusting!!! Though my daughters quesadillas looked delicious, she never got to try them and I ate mine in a hurry. Expecting twins, she can 't eat in a hurry... And speaking of mine it was absolutely disgusting . I ordered a chicken enchilada and what I got seemed to be a plate with vomit. No kidding. They don 't give you an enchilada. They give you an undercooked chicken breast with a strange color and a burrito loaded with a falling if a mix of cheeses. I expected the typical oval plate with a couple of enchiladas topped with a little cheese, some refried beans and rice along the side. Instead it was served in an 8 round plate and it had a pound of melted (what seemed to look like Cheese) on top. There was no edge visible on the plate. Everything was gushing out and onto the table. Oils and all. Yuk... I had to order a second plate to move all the junk from the top so I could see what was underneath. I ended up opening the burrito (it was by no means an enchilada) and just ate the little pieces of chicken inside (by now cold for it had been sitting on the window for 49 minutes) Well, you tell me how attractive my plate was . Disgusting if you ask me. I should 've taken a picture The Chef looked pissed off, and the lady working for him looked lost. There was no order ... She could have been cleaning while he cooked blah blah blah yeah yeah I blame this poor quality on the owners . You need to stay ON TOP OF THEM!!!!! Check on them DAILY!!!! Walk around and survey your food. Ask if they liked it, what can you do better etc I have been visiting you guys for over 25 years and seldom (if none) been let down but today you nailed the big F and we are not coming back . Sorry"

"Summary: Avoid the Al Pastor tacos, and you’ll likely have a decent experience. I visited on November 11, 2023, with my family. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos, which were supposed to come with grilled pineapple, but neither of the tacos I received had even a hint of pineapple. The meat was bland and lacked flavor, and the tacos were overstuffed with cilantro and onions, which did little to enhance the taste. On the positive side, service was good; our food arrived quickly, and my family enjoyed their meals. The restaurant has a fun concept with tables that you can draw on, but the TVs were broadcasting ESPN and FOX News, which aren’t to my taste. Overall, I think my experience may have been an outlier compared to other reviews, so don’t let my experience define what yours might be like."
