"This was our first visit, and we were extremely impressed! The service was exceptional—almost over the top—and the food was outstanding, with prices that were more than reasonable. We ordered the platter for two, which was enough to feed at least three adults. I do have a couple of minor complaints. First, the mild sauce was just okay—not great. Sauce preferences can be very personal, so it's not a major issue. The hot BBQ sauce was delicious, though, so I used that instead. My other small critique is that the burnt ends come pre-sauced, which I don't understand, and they lacked the desirable crusty exterior that characterizes good burnt ends. However, the brisket was incredible—tender, well-trimmed, and packed with great smoke flavor. It didn't even need sauce, which made up for the slightly disappointing burnt ends. Both the pulled pork and ribs were excellent as well, with no sauce necessary. The ribs were especially tender. The steak fries, curly fries, and slaw all received high praise too. Overall, the experience was definitely worthy of a five-star rating, and we will absolutely be back to try the homemade bread pudding that’s been on my mind since we left."
