"I ordered a glass of wine, but after a few minutes, I was informed that it was unavailable. When I asked for a second option, the waiter told me, “We are out of a lot of wines.” Frustrated, I settled for a glass of house red. It took so long to arrive that I started to consider just leaving. Thankfully, just before I reached that breaking point, the waiter brought my wine. I have no complaints about the wine itself; it was actually quite acceptable, even if it had spent a bit too long waiting.
However, I was taken aback that I was never offered any bread or asked if I wanted a salad or appetizer. Also, from 8:05 to 8:24, no new diners came in, which struck me as unusual for a busy area on a Friday night. Additionally, I noticed a nearby diner returning a mussel dish to the kitchen, but I didn’t want to pry or draw attention to it, so I couldn't confirm the reason for the return.
As for my entrée, I ordered an aged beef tenderloin with a wine demi-glaze sauce, accompanied by spinach and potatoes. I requested the beef to be medium rare, but since the cut was so thin, that request seemed pointless. The sauce overpowered the meat, giving it a flavor reminiscent of a salty frozen dinner—far from the quality I expect from a premium cut of beef.
Regarding the singing in the restaurant, it seemed to be quite rare between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m., but what I did hear wasn’t bad. I would have appreciated it more if it had accompanied a better meal rather than the mediocre one I experienced."
