"Terrible. That 's really the only way to sum up our recent experience. Slow service, food took forever, waitress had zero personality- like you took a sedative and were having a bad day on top of that. We were one of 4 tables in the entire restaurant, yet she continuously disappeared throughout our meal. She seemed to have no intention of taking our order after dropping our drinks, so after sitting there with our menus aside patiently waiting for her to come by, we waved her down and let her know we were ready to order. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start and received literally a teaspoon or so of marinara. We asked the waitress for more- when she finally happened to pass near our table. 8 or so minutes later we had to flag her down as she had no intention of stopping by or even making eye contact with us. Our son needed a refill on his water by this time and we asked for one, letting her know that we also no longer needed the marinara as the mozzarella sticks were long gone. She just said, okay , no apology or oops, I forgot. We then waited what seemed like an eternity for our entrees and when they arrived we asked for ketchup and blue cheese. Again- 10 or so minutes go by and our waitress is no where to be seen. We end up asking a man (possibly the manager), and he finally brings the condiments. The food was decent enough and we finally got the check and we 're ready to get out of there. I noticed that I was charged $6.99 for a side of chili instead of $2.00 which is the upcharge to sub it in as your side. I notified the waitress and she brought back the check, having taken off $1.85 instead of the correct amount of $4.99. I then asked to speak to a manager. I asked him to fix the check and also told him of the completely disappointing experience we just had. He responded that he became the manager there about 2 months ago, and that he tries to instill in his servers that customer service and attentiveness are key. So.... I guess that was supposed to be some sort of apology for the horrible experience. Definitely will not be coming back."

"My wife and I came for lunch. We ordered the Sampler Plate. 4 meats. 4 sides. 2 breads. For our meats we decided on: brisket, spicy sausage, pork, and ribs. Sides: Mac n cheese, potato salad, beans, and creamed corn. Bread: corn bread and garlic toast. It was definitely enough food to feed two adults. Atmosphere was nice. We liked to decor. My wife liked that they had Coke products. Because we smoke meats at home, we are always a little critical about going out to eat for BBQ. The meats in general were on the drier side. Not bone dry, but not super juicy either. The seasoning was underwhelming. Basically tasted like a slightly smoked meat. I described to my wife that the meat tasted like a combination of gas and wood was used to create the heat and smoke Pork definitely needed sauce. Ribs were competition style . Not fall off the bone, but had a bite to it. Which isn 't bad, just a different technique, but don 't expect super tender ribs. Sausages were decent. Not that spicy. Brisket was cooked well. Tender, but still on the dry side. I don 't think we could choose one meat that was our favorite. They were all about the same. The sides were, in our opinion, better than the meats. The corn and Mac n cheese were creamy. The beans had chunks of meat and were tender. (Not chili beans. But legit BBQ beans). The potato salad was spot on. I 'm not a fan of any corn bread, but it was dry according to my wife. Garlic toast was good. We tried all of the sauces: house, hot, Alabama (white), mustard, Carolina sauce and sweet. Sauces were good. (If you don 't know what sauce goes with what meat, you better educate yourself. LOL)."
