"This is one of those gems that locals know about and travelers have to search out. I found this place by accident. A local trail race was supposed to be having a happy hour at both locations for those of us who are running tomorrow. But the race directors didn 't mention it to the owners at this location. The taproom isn 't fancy, and I could tell the clientele were regulars. But the staff greeted me and when they found out about the miscommunication from my event organizers, invited me to stay. They asked what I liked, and when I said saison , they said their sour was the closest they had. I 'm not a fan of sour, but they offered me a sample, and it was good. I sat at the bar and struck up a conversation with a patron while we drank. The beer was excellent, and the staff created a vibe that made me feel welcome, even though I was the new guy to all the regulars. I 'll be back the next time we are in town."
