"My friend and I were heading back to the Bay Area and needed a place for lunch. We heard about Panda Inn from a friend who loves Panda Express, so we decided to give it a try. I didn't have high expectations since my friend mentioned Panda Express, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. We arrived shortly after opening, so there was no wait and only a few customers. The atmosphere was nice and clean, even the bathrooms were well-maintained. When we looked at the menu, we wanted to order items that we couldn't find at Panda Express. We tried the Panda rice, fish in black bean sauce, hot and sour soup, and lucky cookie milk tea. We also received a free order of vegetable rolls thanks to a Yelp check-in offer. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. The Pandareis was addicting and we ended up ordering more. The fish in black bean sauce had a great texture and flavor, not too salty. The hot and sour soup was a must-have with the meal. The only disappointment was the lucky cookie milk tea, which didn't taste like lucky cookies as expected. Our server, Carla, was very sweet and attentive, even giving us some lucky cookies to compare the taste. The staff was friendly and attentive, with Carla ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. She even chatted with us about our visit to LA. At the end of our meal, Carla gave us a bag of lucky cookies to take home. This was the best service I've had in a restaurant in a long time. I highly recommend stopping by Panda Inn for a meal. I've already told friends and family about the positive experience. My friend and I couldn't stop talking about our lunch at Panda Inn and can't wait to return to try more dishes.
