"The food was very good: The home baked bread is really good and it goes well with kashk-o-bademjoon; although, the kashk-o-bademjoon was a bit on the bland side. I thought it needed more good quality kashk. The tahdig was a bit too hard. The waiter warned me about it and told me that it didn't come out good, but I wanted to try it. He was right! It was VERY hard, but after a few minutes, he brought us another batch that was excellent. We had it with gheymeh. The gheymeh doesn't come meatless. I had forgotten to tell the waiter that my daughter was vegetarian, so he brought some vegetarian bademjoon, which was totally unexpected, since the bademjoon does not even come with tahdig! Kudos to the waiter and the cooks! The chenjeh kabab was outstanding! The best I've had in Los Angeles. I've been to Raffi's and all of Westwood/Valley Persian restaurants. This one was the best! Very good quality filet, no fat, very clean meat and done perfectly. The amount of rice was above average. The vegetables could be grilled a little more, but still very good. We had a non-Iranian guest with us who ordered the chicken koobideh with half salad, half rice. The salad looked like a meal by itself! It had so many different vegetables in it: beets, pineapples, radishes, etc...in addition to the usual lettuce, cucumber, tomato! And the half rice looked like a full rice to me!!! The waiter and busboy were very attentive, personable, and courteous. I wish I had asked the waiter's name to mention it here, but he made us feel welcomed. (The young, on the taller side guy) The only 2 complaints that I would make are the fact that the place was too quiet and at the beginning it was too warm! I think they need to play some soft Persian music and set the temperature to a comfortable level. They did turn on the AC a little later, though. I would definitely recommend Flame Persian Cuisine and visit them again!"
