"We booked with Saucebox because reservations were available through open table, and because they did NOT have a limited Valentineâs Day menu listed (other restaurants were doing limited menus for Valentineâs Day) and we were excited about their full menu When we arrived, they did in fact only have a limited menu available at a person, which was not mentioned at all on their open table listing for that night. I also received a call the night before to confirm the reservation, but the limited menu was not mentioned. We decided to stay because we knew the food was supposed to be really good, and we didnât have a reservation anywhere else The first two courses were tasty, but very small. The main course was good but desperately needed salt. The value for the food was definitely lacking, but at least the dishes tasted good. Our biggest issue, however, was that the courses were spaced out about minutes in between- Iâm not sure if this was a server issue or a kitchen issue, but we didnât even arrive until and didnât receive our entrees until about at which point the restaurant was half full. The server seemed to avoid us, rather than addressing the issue, and we were charged for a bottle of wine that was listed on the menu as being Overall, very unimpressed with the lack of communication regarding this reservation. We really just wanted to share a few plates at the bar top (where our reservation was made for), but instead we were tricked into a dinner (plus drinks) in the dining room."
