"Our recent experience at the restaurant was disappointing. We have dined there a few times before, always having had good meals. This time, however, we chose the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and were let down. The bar was busy, but only one other table was seated in the restaurant and finished their meal shortly after we were seated. My dining partner ordered the special duck dish, but it turned out to be tough and chewy. He was offered a replacement entree, but it was too late as I had already finished my meal and he wasn't keen on waiting for another dish to be prepared. The staff was very nice and kindly comped his entree, but we no longer see this restaurant as a special occasion spot. We'd rather pay for good food than be comped for poor food."

"They obviously forgot our order I understand that happens— for we waited an inordinately long time , so much do that we had to call over our waitress to ask what happened. She should have contacted us after seeing how long we were waiting and though the Mgr did come over to apologize and took off our check , it couldn’t help but leave a bad taste in our mouths. "we came out of billings last november. didn't expect anything to be open next to almost food. we drove past a gentleman who walked along the walk, I asked him what this end would be open and surprisingly we were next to the plonk! how comfortable we thought, but we didn't expect what we actually experienced. man, I was the only patrons. the inner was very quiet. it was perfect. I don't remember the special thing we had, but I know that steak was involved. it was the best steak I ever had. who ever had. we tipped the chef 200 dollar to our shock superstition, he was hardly in his early 20s! he has no doubt a special present and we had so much luck that we served his delicious meals. the desert was a court he had formed and that was also a strange but amazing court. I would come to bozeman to come to an evening meal cooked by the amazing cook. the bartenders were also amazing. very professional smooth bundle. every second. parking: we parked on the road, right next to the building. there are many places to park."

"We had a lovely dinner on Sunday evening during Memorial Day weekend. Tip: Make a reservation in advance! Maybe it was because it was a holiday weekend, but they were booked fairly early. We sat indoors but had a nice view of the beach. If you can, try to grab a seat closest to the pier. They roll up the curtains around sunset so the view is amazing. We started off with some fresh oysters (beau soleil, grassy bar, kumiai) and charbroiled oysters. We relied on our server’s expertise to recommend some oyster types for us, and he didn’t disappoint! They came with 3 sauces and the cocktail sauce was one of the most flavorful I’ve ever had. The horseradish was a bit too strong for us, while the mignonette was tasty. The entrees were both amazing. The scallops were cooked nicely and decently sized. The chiles were not that noticeable flavor-wise but the corn and au gratin potatoes gave the entire dish some nice texture. The pork chop was excellently prepared — it was a thick portion that was tender and juicy on the inside while having a nice crisp char on the outside. The sides also really helped elevate the dish: the bread pudding reminded me of high quality Thanksgiving stuffing, and the creamed spinach and sourdough crisp that sit under the pork chop benefitted from the juices of the meat. The creamed spinach was also not super creamy, which I appreciated. I’m not usually a fan of pork chop but this is one of the best prepared and creative versions I’ve had. We finished with a chocolate berry dessert cocktail that was packed with flavor. The table next to us was also intrigued and asked us about it. I would recommend if you like chocolate, berries, and sweetness. Overall a really great restaurant with beautiful views and delicious food. Our server Shane was also great — attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He also comped us a couple of oysters to taste because he wasn’t sure how we’d like them — we really appreciated that! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough if you’re looking for a romantic night out at Pismo Beach."

"We dined here twice while staying at the Lodge, once for dinner without a reservation when we were treated rather poorly by the hostess who seemed to be inconvenienced by us showing up. And again for lunch with a reservation . I feel like some of the female wait staff here have an attitude, there is a rush to order and a feeling like making a slight modification to an item is not welcomed me I cant figure out if they are a nice resort restaurant or a casual after golf place. The ambience and service say very casual but the prices are more inline with a more upscale restaurant. Example, for a side of potatoes...For us, we would return for the convenience and decent food, but will be wary"

"It was mostly highs but a couple one low. The service was incredible and will come back again. Loved our server and the whole vibe. Felt Covid safe. The only low was pasta dish that I thought was going to be pesto burrata and breadcrumbs and came out tasting like milk and mint. So much mint. But the server noticed that I didn’t really eat it and brought us a complementary dessert. I don’t fault them. Just wasn’t my favorite dish. Everything else, the dip trip tuna tartare were amazing and we will definitely dine here again."

"We were disappointed to find that out of the 4 vegetarian starters, only 2 were vegan and both were unavailable, leaving us with just one choice. The main course options also had limited vegan selections, with only 2 out of 4 options being suitable for vegans. We enjoyed the panisse, a delicious fried chickpea fritter, but found the grilled tofu lacking in flavor and sauce. For dessert, there was only one vegan option available - sorbet. While the food was enjoyable, we felt that the limited vegan choices did not justify the high price of $110 for a 3-course meal. We were hoping for more creativity and variety in the vegan offerings. Overall, Wailea Hotel is a better spot for vegetarians than vegans. However, we appreciate the effort to offer a vegetarian prix fixe menu at a lower price than the non-vegetarian option. We hope that on our next visit, there will be more vegan options available, with more thought put into creating flavorful and satisfying dishes."

"It was an absolute delight to discover this place—truly a gem right in the heart of the Keys. It's an upscale, classy, and modern beach destination that’s also a lot of fun. Last night, we ordered their special: a Seafood Pasta featuring shrimp, scallops, clams, king prawns, and lobster. It was simply amazing! We also tried one of their delicious steaks, which came with baby broccoli and mashed potatoes, and I must say, it was one of the best steaks we’ve had in the Keys. The staff were friendly and made our experience even more enjoyable. Mahina is definitely a restaurant you should consider for dinner, even if you're not staying at the resort!"

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service."

"Not hubby's and my usual steakhouse, but it was nice to try something different. Valet parking available $6 with validation, tip extra) with a short walk through the hotel lobby to a private elevator that takes you straight to the top floor. Greeted warmly by everyone and showed to our table almost immediately. Two large dining areas on opposite sides of the restaurant. We were seated on the right side. Walkways seem a little tight as there are tables fronting the floor to ceiling windows and booth seating against the wall, so might be a bit snug if you're navigating a wheelchair. Once seated, a beautiful city lights view that gives the establishment extra am ambiance...bonus if there are fireworks like the night we went. Our server, Pono, was attentive and professional, yet was friendly. He checked in on us the perfect amount, and we never felt rushed, even though we were dining late. Drinks: The wines by the glass list was a little disappointing, as there's only 5 reds and 5 whites to choose from. Good amount of bottles to choose from. Hubby had a draft beer, while I had an old fashioned, which was a little too sweet. We also had a glass of Cabernet that was not as full bodied as we like. Food: Appetizers Oysters on the half shell came out beautifully presented and were very fresh. Seared sea scallops... perfectly cooked and paired well with their Dijon BBQ sauce. Entree bone in ribeye...tender on the inside and crispy char on the outside. Sliced for us for ease of sharing. Sides creamed spinach and lobster mac...IMO good, but not great like our fave spot. Was a lovely evening to end a regular Thursday."

"Hostess Went on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm. Wait time for a table would be 35 40 minutes for indoor seating or 5 10 minutes for outdoor seating. We opted for outdoor seating because we were hungry and didn't want to wait over 30 minutes for a table inside. Anyways, I noticed that even though the restaurant was moderately busy there were quite a few booths unoccupied and people were finishing their meals and leaving. So I don't quite get why it would be so long of a wait to get a table for 2. Nonetheless, we sat outside and it was cold. They had the outdoor heater on, but it was still chilly. Waiter/waitress service very attentive and friendly. Took our order immediately and checked on us periodically during our meal. Food ordered the skirt steak meal with mashed potatoes and grilled broccoli. The grilled broccoli came out burnt. Some pieces were charcoal black burnt. I mean what kind of chef decides it would be a good idea to plate burnt broccoli and serve it to their patrons? Anyways, we appreciate the guy who brought out our food and mentioned he was embarrassed to bring us this plate of food because of the burnt food. He went back inside and got us another side of grilled broccoli. Thank goodness it wasn't burnt this time. We also ordered the pork chop meal with polenta and brussel sprouts. Overall, a good, filling dish. I personally would not return to eat at this establishment in the future. The bill for 2 people including tip was a whopping $92. It was 2 meals (one skirt steak, one pork chop) and 2 waters. This was my 2nd time there, but I would rather spend my money elsewhere."
