"Went here for lunch later in the afternoon and it was a good experience overall. Server was friendly and service was good. The ambiance inside and out were also very laid back with good lighting. It was lightly drizzling so we didn?t get to go outside. We tried the falafel and the mixed plate (sampler for all the grilled meats). The mixed plate was pretty solid, the bread that was also served is excellent! I recommend ordering the mixed plate if sharing with two people, I also think the any of the kebab entrees are a good option for a single meal. I can recommend cafe Istanbul and had a good experience here."

"This was our first time to eat at cafe Istanbul. Overall we really enjoyed it but our service was extremely slow. We probably waited 30-35 minutes before ordering entrees after placing an order for our appetizers. When we were finished and paid our server told us the belly dancer was about to come out and to wait to leave so we could see her. A few minutes after the belly dancer came out a hostess asked us to leave if we were finished as they had a million other reservations . I understand not holding up a table but the mixed signals from servers and long wait times caused me to have mixed feelings about this restaurant when leaving."
