"Talk about a meal and a show!! If you haven 't been here you have to try it at least once. This particular Samurai has been here for years. The food is delicious!! They make the rice with garlic butter and then they serve you these two side sauces...I always only get double portions of the shrimp sauce. I think it 's a shrimp-based sauce. I 'll have to ask next time I 'm there. From the moment you walk in to see the friendly face behind the counter, to the table server, runner, and chef it 's an experience you 'll never forget. You can take a date, family, friends, or even go solo. The table is set up in such a way that even if you go solo you won 't be dining alone. I usually order the lunch combo with chicken and shrimp. The meal comes with a side of soup or salad, mushrooms (yum), veggies, chicken or veggie fried rice or you can order good old white rice. The salad has this ginger dressing that is to die for. The soup is delicious as well except that when it 's for lunch you have to pick one or the other (soup or salad). Whichever one you choose trust me you won 't be disappointed. For dinner, you do get both the soup and salad so you get the best of both worlds. Plus it doesn 't matter if it 's lunch or dinner the portions are very hearty. It doesn 't seem like it at first but once you have all of the food on your plate you realize it 's plenty of it. The only downfall is the heat/vapor, and you 'll walk out smelling like you just prepared your meal but you 'll leave happy. As my grandma used to say, Full belly, happy heart."

"I went to American Social on a Monday with my college roommates. We choose to go on a Monday because of the burger specials though we did not receive the special. The waitress came up to us fairly quickly though she was not the friendliest we were not bothered until she came around just about every minute as she was rushing us to decide what we wanted to order. We remained friendly towards her our whole visit as we did not want to cause any issues. Once we put our order in we made sure to let her know that we wanted the burger special and instead she charged us full price for our meals which was not that much more but we went FOR the special. We did order drinks as well. At the end of our visit, we could not find her anywhere to get the check. Thankfully we did get her attention and finished up but nearly got charged for parking since she was not around on top of being charged full price for our meals. The atmosphere was very nice as we sat outside we did get a mix of the two different radio's that they had playing but nothing terrible. The food was very good and came out quickly. When booking the reservation I did say that we had a birthday at the table but this was not recognized. I do not go out to eat often and when I do I make sure to pick a restaurant with great reviews as I want to have a good experience when I do decide to go out. I would still recommend American Social to friends as I heard great things before my first visit this past Monday."

"Service was very good. However the manager would not honor the Open Table nightly special of appetizers. He said that was not a current advertisement on Open Table. Open Table App shows there are nightly specials. We thought this was not fair. At the end of the meal our server asked if we wanted ice cream (in lieu of the special) but we declined. The manager should have honored the advertisement."

"no salads included at the meal times. they serve a crust roll quarter person with frozen butterballs to spread. sangria wasn't good. desserts were average. the main course for which they pay was excellent. my came as ordered. hubby wa a delivered the wrong food, so we had to wait for it and as they served it underused. they made up because of their mistake by only taking a drink to him, and they composed desserts that I thought they could do the least. it was simply unpleasant to eat alone and to observe each other, and with the high top places that are cramped and allow a lot of cash to stack when there were open table seats. I expected the outside deck to be available with heating, the holiday week for people who wanted to hang on a bar and previous reviews with entering the restaurant was very appreciated for the first time visitors. will I have gone back? yes, but if the service remained without improvement, it will be a place a scratch of my return list."

"From the moment we walked up, we knew it was going to be an outstanding meal! We weren’t even to the front steps before we were greeted with the biggest smile and welcoming waiter, Tim. He led us to the perfect table on the outside patio and promptly gave us a run down of the food and drink we must try! Started off with cracklings and queso, perfectly seasoned pork rinds with a spicy, creamy queso dip, and debris fries…watch out Canada, your poutine has serious competition with this pile of fries, tender roast beef, and savory beef gravy! We the. Dove into a sampling of the peace maker, shrimp remi, and BBQ shrimp po’ boys. We ordered a 10” of each and easily split amongst the 4 of us so everyone could get a taste. We all enjoyed every one of them, but debated the favorite. The major point of agreement, however, was how fresh the shrimp, oysters, and all the ingredients were. We finished with a sweet bite, and shared the bread pudding. Mmm, mmm a strong finish for such a delicious evening."

"Past 2 experiences at State have been sub par, kitchen is clearly not equipped for the amount of tables establishment has. We waited exponentially long for appetizers, server recognized this and removed from Bill, when they did arrive we received maybe 5 tablespoons or guacamole. Daughter’s fries weren’t cooked. Had to ask for new ones which server brought immediately! Ordered the jambalaya which has Ben my favorite beside the burger and it was overcooked and then put n a sizzling cast iron skillet which continued to cook which then made things worse. This is 2nd time n a month this has happened and will be taking a break from State, but gosh is unfortunate but management needs to get a hold of the problems. To many tables outside crammed into area and kitchen can’t handle that many tables."

"The ambiance at this restaurant is fantastic! The hotel and restaurant have a cool and welcoming atmosphere. "Ordered the grouper dinner, food came out not even luke warm. Mentioned it to the server and she apologized and took it back to the kitchen to heat it up 3 min later our waitress came to check on us I told her what happened and she went back to check on it. She came back a minute later with a plate asked me to try that it was also not hot and it was the wrong food she brought out blackened fish instead which I'm assuming was someone else's. She then apologized and came back a minute later with my plate of fish which at this point was dry and still not very hot. I ate a few bites and couldn't eat it. She came back and asked how it was and I told her it wasn't great and I'd like my bill. I wouldn't normally post a review but I don't feel this was handled properly. I've been to other Caddys and have had wonderful service and food but this one missed the mark big time! We won't be back to this one."

"Chef David Lee gave my Partner and I an exclusive off-menu dining experience to showcase his incredible restaurant. We made reservations, which I highly recommend to anyone as the establishment isn?t large and is very popular in Corpus Christi,especially for those living on Padre Island. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated and we orderedcocktails. Chef Lee joined us at the table and kindly spoke with us for a while, then recommended sending various dishes out. We agreed to that, and the culinary journey lasted for the next couple hours with our server presenting great dishes. Thevarious creations are included in the pictures. Chef Lee isn?t always at this spot because he has other establishments he runs,so we were treated to a very exclusive opportunity to try his wonderful creations. I highly recommend Rock Rolls. "The place has an Old West vibe. Lots of different kinds of wood everywhere you look. Tables and booths are arranged in a open plan. And while there were two of us, we were seated at a table for four there didn’t seem to be any tables for two in view. Not for someone seeking a sophisticated dining experience. Service was good. No complaints there. Wine and cocktail menu was varied and fairly priced. French Onion Soup is a MUST HAVE. Real beef flavor, delicious onion, plenty of melted Provolone cheese, and a hearty slice of pumpernickel bread. Just sublime. The Brussels Sprouts were oven roasted and tender given their size. I enjoyed that they weren’t ‘messed with’. The baked potato was fully cooked and fork tender. And it was HUGE! The sides are the real stars here. All the sides are sold a la carte and each order feeds two. We each ordered the 14 ounce KC Strip. We requested one medium and the other medium rare; but they both came out medium. The presentation was excellent! They had a lovely char and they were a generous center cut. However, they were somewhat tough at one end…there was a bit of a gritty texture. I suspect what happened was that the steaks were defrosted (from frozen) too quickly. Given the excellent quality of the sides; we had high hopes for the entrees. So yeah, we were somewhat disappointed. As to value, I’ve experienced better."

"This restaurant was a good find while exploring Capitola. We were there when they opened so we didn't have to wait for a table and had a table outside. The view out there was nice with the nice cool ocean breeze and the sun out in the sky. Our server, Angela, was very friendly and helpful! First we had cups of soups: French onion and clam chowder. Both were great with loads of flavor. The entrees, fish and chips and halibut burgers, were also amazing!"

"I have made reservations in advance to meet a friend with the special request, sitting on a couch near the fire. I noticed that no one was available. I informed the hostess and she answered that she was aware of my request, but since she had to go back, a server sat someone else in the available couch. (a RESERVED sign might have been useful) we sat in one standing. the server was very nice and pleasant, but it was probably 15-20 min ago welcomed and we were only checked once. this is not the experience we usually get when visiting brickhouse in the past."

"I took friends who were stuck for two days and nights at Newark airport due to airline cancellations for which United it did absolutely nothing for them Including no baggage- they finally got a place to sleep and at HoJoe’s at the end of the world so coming to the aviation grill for lunch was quite welcome. I was surprised that the service was a little bit slow for being an airport based hotel but I was also extremely disappointed to be charged $21 in the parking lot for an hour and a half lunch -there was no indication that there was a way to Stamp my ticket so it’s a little embarrassing as I was treating friends who are already stressed with no luggage in their 80s and stuck in the bowels of the north terminal neighborhood. of North terminal with no way to get around. The food was quite good though."

"Being from out of town, I chose the Bistro on the inference that it is one of the nicer places in Bowling Green. I don’t eat at chain restaurants very often but my impression is that this food was similar to what you would find at one of those. The service was entirely satisfactory and the ambiance was fine remodeled older house but there were surprisingly few patrons there for a nice restaurant on a Friday night"

"Caddy's Treasure Island is an all around great experience! We made reservations for Thanksgiving Day and had planned to get the traditional Thanksgiving meal but once seeing the menu decided to go with something else. I'm so glad we did! We had the calamari to start, which was cooked perfectly! For our meal, we had the mahi tacos and the shrimp basket. We got the Key Lime pie for dessert and again were not disappointed. It was light but flavorful and creamy! All of the food was very good and tasted fresh! Our server, Carolina M. was wonderful! She was very attentive but not overly so. She was also very personable. She was kind and took her time with us despite being busy during a Holiday. The atmosphere was fun yet beautiful! There was a large amount of seating and you just can't beat the view!! We can't wait to return to try more things on the menu."

"This restaurant has absolutely terrible service. We were seated without anyone mentioning that there was a private party in the back room. We waited 30 minutes just for a cocktail and a soda. Many menu items, including oysters, chicken, and red beans and rice, were sold out. After waiting an hour, the staff couldn't give us any estimate on when our food would arrive, and they didn't seem to care. Meanwhile, the waitstaff was just standing around chatting."

"The service was quick, even though the restaurant was busy with many customers. They had live music on Saturdays until noon. The outdoor deck was beautiful with plenty of seating. The pulled pork was tasty, but despite the menu stating it was smoked, it definitely was not. As someone who knows barbecue well, I can confirm it was not smoked. However, it was still good! It came with fries and a cheese sauce. My friend ordered the fish and chips and said it was decent, they appreciated the malt vinegar. Overall, it's a cool place to hang out with quick and friendly service. We will definitely be back!"

"Service was spectacular from Rachelle, she was a super star. The food was okay, but like everything at this particular resort it is overpriced and lacking soul. The sandwiches come with fries by default but when you ask there are a ton of options to sub in. I went with a salad (better pairing with seared ahi) but wish that rice and Mac salad was available. There are a number of Keiki options, including catch of the day, but again fries centric meal options devalue what could be a healthy and interesting option."
