"Unexpected touches to the dishes may surprise you. We enjoyed the food here very much. Spouse called the Aguachile (lightly marinated ceviche) a Mexican version of a Greek salad and loved it. Potato pancakes were tiny crisp disks with generous dollop of tasty stewed beef in a mole. Seafood enchiladas came with a tomato cream sauce rather than the usual enchilada sauce, a nice change. Carnitas hash was an enormous amount of five-spice scented pork shoulder, shredded over black beans (no potatoes) and served with warm tortillas. Small and casual, but definitely a cut above the usual Cal-Mex ordinary."
