"I love to acknowledge great service. Nate (blonde) has waited on us twice during happy hour at the bar. He’s a lovely human and makes our visits to Hapa extra special. The other bartender and is also Nate and he seems great too. Sake is fantastic. Food is very good. Updating: still love this place for happy hour. Izzy is amazing too! "I had a great experience at Hapa. I visited during happy hour and ordered the vegetable tempura along with the spicy salmon and tuna rolls. The tempura was amazing and much larger than I expected. The sushi was also delightful."

"Sushi Hana is my favorite sushi restaurant in Boulder! I've never had a problem with the food; it's always delicious and flavorful. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. It’s never too crowded, so you can pop in anytime and find a table. My takeout orders have always been served hot; they prepare carry-out orders quickly—last time it only took 15 minutes for three items. If someone had issues with their food, they might have just waited too long. I highly recommend the Calamari and the Galaxy Roll! For dessert, Sushi Hana also offers a great selection of mochi; my favorites are the green tea and red bean flavors."

"Hapa is a great choice for groups that might contain a mix of diners ranging from sushi/sashimi aficionados all the way to picky eaters, vegetarians and children because they do so many things well. The raw fish is delicious and fresh because they do a tremendous volume in their new location, but the salads are also large and varied and the cooked dishes are beautifully prepared. The wait staff is comprised mostly of CU undergraduates who have been expertly trained and includes several foodies that have sampled most of the menu. The Sake menu is extensive and all three of the major Japanese beers (Kirin, Sapporo and Asahi) are available. Must have highlights include: (1) the daikon fries and edamame for appetizers; (2) the seaweed salad; (3) too many special rolls to mention; (4) the Ahi tuna crispy entre; and (5) the vanilla/chocolate/green tea Mochi for dessert. Try a flask of the plum infused sake with your daikon fries and then experiment with their extensive menu and specials--their chefs and entire kitchen are first rate."

"Excellent starters: Magic Mushrooms and American Kobe Carpaccio. Avoid the sashimi as it has preservatives and is served at a warmer temperature than ideal. It would be better served on a bed of shaved ice due to the high air temperature in the restaurant. Ordering a variety of starters is recommended. Next time, I will opt for the rolls instead of the 18 piece sashimi. I give it 4 stars mainly because of the exceptional starters, otherwise it would be a 3-star rating."

"Oh no… a total waste of my $30. The food was so horribly gross. I ordered a dinner special, 2 chef special rolls… a King roll and a Mr. Ed roll. One of them looked like it had chicken in it!??? I had to do a double take. There was not supposed to be chicken in what I ordered, but it didn’t look or taste like anything the description said would be in the roll. "We enjoy Sushi Bistro about once a month. She is a huge fan of the Shrimp Tempura and had never been disappointed. I've sampled a much wider variety of the menu. All of the Sushi is high quality and well prepared. I've learned what I don't like based on my personal preference. We are looking forward to going again next time. They have expanded their seating area."

"The atmosphere was very disappointing. It felt more like a Halloween setup, and they should really consider adjusting their LED strip lights to a softer fade instead. I was there just to pick up a to-go order for myself, and I ended up spending $30 on food that I would describe as quite below average. I'm a big fan of Japanese hibachi, but this was the first time I’ve ever received a fortune cookie with my Japanese meal. The rice tasted like it came from a buffet in the back. Overall, the food was subpar. There was no salad, just a plain white yum yum sauce, and I didn’t even receive any soy sauce packets. The food was leaking all over the bag, and the plastic utensils provided were of very poor quality. Given the $30 price tag, I expected much better quality. I cannot recommend this place."

"I was in the local area searching for a sushi restaurant and found Blufin. We ordered their dinner Nigiri and a california roll in the same bundle. You can tell the prices were sharpied out and written in to indicate new prices.They added extra charges for food and increased the prices by as much as 30% from original prices. Is this due to inflation? Post-covid issues? However, you'd expect the quality to go up or atleast remain the same right? Wrong. The lettuce we got for our side came out discolored and brown as if it was sitting out all day. The nigiri were warm and had nothing but a piece of fish on the rice (no sign of rice vinegar). The rice on the california roll was hard and crispy.When I walked in I noticed how empty it was and now I understand why. It was because of the downfall of quality and the upscale of price. It was also very warm inside so I'd suggest turning on the air conditioner.Overall, very sad experience and I'm sure there are room for improvement."

"This Japanese restaurant is generally quite good and offers generous portions. I ordered the creamy salmon roll, and it was quite tasty! However, I found it a bit strange that a Japanese restaurant doesn’t serve green tea. The place is somewhat small, and most tables are designed for just two people, which could pose a challenge if you're dining with a family of four. Overall, the food is good and reasonably priced. Was it a memorable experience? For me, it was mainly because it was my first visit to LA; the occasion mattered more than the food itself. Would I order from here again? Probably not, unless it was my only option after all the other food places had closed down. In that case, I might consider it."

"I live just five minutes away, so I can confidently say that I dine here at least three times a week. It's not just the delicious flavors; the prices are incredibly affordable too! You absolutely must try the tiger roll and the four seasons – you'll love them! The hibachi is also excellent, and the staff is very friendly. I truly adore this place!"
