"I suspect these lovely folks may have failed to fully anticipate the amount they'd be busy on a Friday night service was a tiny bit slow in a way that was really clearly downstream of there just not being enough waitstaff (even though the individual people all seemed excellent and competent and moving as fast as they reasonably could). But a good drink and a nice self serve salad bar makes it really hard to worry too much about that! And the bison steak was, in fact, amazing (after a small snafu with my husband receiving initially a well done steak instead of the requested medium rare, which was replaced), I was fascinated by the interestingly different texture and flavor compared to a beef steak. Special mention for the mushroom whiskey sauce, which we were able to get as an addon with the bison steak instead of bacon, and which I 1000% recommend for any cut of steak, it was MARVELOUS not only did it perfectly complement the meat flavor, it was independently just really amazing, if you gave me a soup bowl full of it I would happily eat it with a spoon. I would have liked to see a cocktail menu I love me a This Particular Bartender's Specific Weird Thing He Made Up but I can't complain about a simple glass of merlot with my steak, either. Overall, really happy with the experience."
