"what was that? when we came before covid, we were blown away from their fantastic drinks and service. they had unique things on their menu and were really good. well, just came to birthday and was very disappointed. service was friendly but slow. the menu was faded at the edges you could read most. they were out of a few things. drinks were ok, but expensive for ok. good. all tolerable until our laundry board came. let's unpack this. saltines. the crackers were literally saltines! they ruined the whole board. no cheese everywhere, a thick slice of salami quartered, and oliven. literal olive from a dose banished. I was so disappointed. I would have sent it back, but the kitchen was closed and I needed some food with my beer to drive safely. the prosciutto was decent and actually was a good amount of it (although not enough salinity to eat with) paid and will not be back. so sad. not sure whether the property changed, but the standard went down and the prices rose. can not talk to the rest of the menu. it looked good, but we didn't come to dinner and tried nothing else."

"I've been to many Afghan restaurants and never had an experience at this restaurant. The owner was super rude, the food was terrible, and cold. My husband asked a bout a dish and the owner told him that he shouldn't order that dish he will get fat. The owner was very poor at conversation with the customers. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone waste of time and money."

"Had the worst experience!! I called and girl who picked up to take my order she was extremely rude and had so much attitude literally yelling at me over the phone to hold because she was busy!! I understand you are busy but the tone of voice matter when you are talking to you costumers she had no respect and didn't know her manner at all. If a customer is complaining you should take it as an advice for the betterment of you and your establishment not be rude as hell!! I feel sorry for the owner , does he know or he doesn't know because , the food is good but the workers are horrible! She kept hanging up on me and didn't let me talk to the owner! So unprofessional and ethical! She was a horrible person!!"

"I stopped by after an event in the area for takeout. I originally wanted to order shawarma, but was informed that it is only for online orders. I wonder why, since there was plenty of shawarma visible on the skewer cooking. I was instead offered a chicken shish kabob platter. The service was fast and I received my to-go order quickly. "One surprising aspect was the bill; I could really feel inflation hitting my wallet. It used to be a very affordable spot, but now if you order without checking the price of each item as I used to, you might encounter sticker shock. Also, pay attention to the check, as they’ve added a 10% service charge, which means you should adjust your tip accordingly to avoid overspending. If you simply add 15% to the final bill, you’ll end up paying more than you intended. I really dislike the tipping and tax conventions in U.S. restaurants. It would be more straightforward if they followed the example of many other countries by listing final prices that include tax and service charges on the menu. This would provide a much better experience for tourists visiting American restaurants."

"We really wanted to like this place, but sadly, the service was so awful, we most likely wouldn’t return. The sambosa and bolance kachalou were decent, the tandoori chicken breast kebab was good, and the combo kebab was fine. Unfortunately, our waiter was extremely unpleasant, incompetent, and inattentive, which really made for an unpleasant experience."

"Weekend brunch with my husband in this cute little gem. We ordered their famous green shakshuka that is served with side hummus, added merguez, and their weekend special was rosemary chicken with delicious buttered mashed potato. Amazing flavors!! We ended with a beautiful chocolate mousse. Everything was spot on and the ambiance was super chill. Awesome date spot ️"

"My mom and I went here today for the first time and the service was really great. They are very friendly and welcoming. The food was so delicious and I can’t wait to come back. My mom had the lamb shawarma, I had the chicken kebsa both with their Syrian salad mine with hummus, and my moms with warag dawali. I bought my husband a chicken shawarma to go to take to work and he loved it. My mom also ordered falafel to go. I wasn’t a very big fan of it but the rest of the food was delicious. I highly recommend stopping by. They also sell a few grocery items which I didn’t know until we stopped by. The prices are pretty reasonable. The only thing is the falafel was expensive compared to where I live, but I believe this is the customary charge in this part of Connecticut."
