"Class. Comfort. Quality. This little spot is tucked away at the corner of N. Western and 63rd St. I learned that Metro has been here for about 26 years, so you know they're doing something well. The two intimate, mood lit, and well appointed dining areas are accented with little alcove tables and other accent touches that give it a very bistro type feel. I was alone, so I sat at the bar where Trevor took excellent care of me. I started with a wonderful glass of Zin while I pondered the specials. I was leaning towards the soup of the day when Trevor asked me to consider their famous cold cucumber/avocado soup. I'm a soup freak, but I can count the number of cold soups I like on one finger. He insisted I have a taste, which came in a really cute miniature tureen. Wow--it was so good I couldn't believe it! I had to have a cup! For my entrée I had the Saffron risotto with shrimp and scallops, which included a generous scattering of veggies in the risotto and was positively scrumptious. At least two or three other members of the staff waited on me or talked to me while I was there. I simply loved everything about this place and I will definitely be back."
