"I traveled through Thailand for 29 days and fell in love with everything Thai ... Even the thick coffee. Thep Phanom brings me back there every time. Traditional Thai food and some modern flair style sides that have the heart of traditional dishes. You can't miss at this place, everything is great. Right now with the summer fruits you can also order the mango/sticky rice for dessert and that is over the top!"

"10/10 would eat at this restaurant again and again. I must say that I am a fan of acidic and spicy foods. I enjoy bold flavors. I prefer dishes with lots of shallots and garlic, to the point where I may not be able to kiss anyone for the rest of the evening. Our orders included delicious cocktails and strong but tasty fried chicken with a flavorful sauce. Unfortunately, the chicken seemed a bit old. I would recommend skipping this dish and instead trying the Bamboo Shoot Salad, which I would happily eat in large quantities. I have a fondness for bamboo shoots and enjoyed the funky and toasted rice in the salad. The Spicy Fried Rice was also quite enjoyable."

"It was our second time here and again, it was just fine. The restaurant is on busy San Pablo Ave and parking is not a problem. Easy off and on to I80. The little restaurant is clean. I sat down and immediately someone was there to take our order. Our wait was very short and the food was pretty good. They have specials besides strictly menu. Prices were reasonable. We started with won ton soup which was very tasty. I had padthai vegetarian which was very good. My friend had a shrimp special with spicy noodles of some kind. Looked delicious and she said it was. We ended with fried banana with ice cream. Yummmm. I'm sure we will go back again."

"I read about this restaurant in Los Angeles eight years ago. I know they have multiple locations I chose to have my birthday dinner here. I love Thai food. Very lackluster.. The papaya salad was old. It was at least one or two days old and my friends that were with me had never had it before. It was a terrible first impression. . I ordered potato noodles with chicken chili would buy the chicken. It tasted very gave me and it was really pale. It wasn’t smoking savory. I took one bite, and I was very disappointed. . I had one dish that was OK which was the spicy McChicken… But we ordered the ghost sticky rice for dessert and even that was not good. It was not buttery and milky. It’s sticky and warm. It was discombobulated and I had a weird taste to it. I have never been so disappointing with a meal at a Thai restaurant will never go back."
