"If I could give this place more stars I would! The food was fantastic and so was the service! Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. Our food came fast too. The menu is huge, tons of options, and lots of very authentic Mexican dishes. Looks like they have some great lunch specials. The prices are great for the portion size. "The table was not cleared after we finished our meal. I had to ask the restaurant staff 4 times how to proceed after finishing, boxing up leftovers, and requesting the bill. I ordered a margarita and waited for over 10 minutes without receiving it, so I finally got frustrated and went to the bar after waiting for another 5 minutes. I asked the bartender about my drink and she explained that the machine was not working properly, which was causing the delay. She offered to serve it on the rocks instead. The waitress should have informed me of the situation and offered an alternative. In the end, I decided to just leave."

"Bajas is hands down a much better choice! This restaurant was a huge disappointment. The loud music made it difficult to enjoy the meal, and the service was lacking, particularly if you had trouble understanding the staff. There were no friendly greetings or acknowledgments—just unfriendly stares and below-average food. The portion sizes were small, and the service left a lot to be desired. We definitely didn’t get our money’s worth for the $22 we spent."

"Easter Sunday, I was very disappointed about the take out food order.I ordered cheese enchilada dinner with 1 Xtra enchilada.The rice and beans were very bland. Two of the enchiladas didn't even have any visible cheese. They looked like and tasted like a tortilla dipped in some tomato sauce and rolled up. The 3rd enchilada, I could see a little trace of cheese. I can say, I didn't get what I paid for unlike several other times I ordered take out there. Previously I've gotten good quality food there.Considering the cost of the cheese enchilada dinner 3 enchiladas and rice and beans with a small side of guacamole, I would have been better off going to Taco Cabana.I don't recommend this place to anyone. They didn't even acknowledge my review. They don't care about customers."

"We arrived around 12:40 PM. First time, and wanting to try their food. Place was 10% full, and it felt somewhat abandoned to its own faith. Waitress was nice and professional, and the following items were ordered: Waffle Breakfast, $5.99. One egg, half waffle, and bacon. Decent for our lovely senior, but lo and behold! The bacon besides being over cooked, had also more salt than what I considered possible. 3 Stars. 2 Albóndiga Soups, at $7.99 each. Consisted of a very light broth, a little oily, with no special taste, besides being edible. Potatoes previously frozen turned into mush, truly dislikable. Two slices of tomato floating with no apparent plan. 3 Meatballs Mexican style with average flavor. Not a memorable dish, and one best not to repeat. 3 Stars. One Beef Tamale, $3.49. Soft, Bulky, stuffed with shredded beef, not particularly good, nice sauce, and cold in the center. Edible. 3 Stars. Chips were nice. Salsa very nice! Service on the money. 10% discount on Yelp for first time visit. 3.5 Stars. In sequential order: called in around 1:20 PM. Birthday ? Girl wanted late breakfast. As of late she is pursuing a eat less and healthy lifestyle. Voice responding sounded dry, as opposed as our festive mood tone. Try to throw a one liner to elicit a smile ? to no avail, but I?ll take dry no nonsense, to an overly friendly got the order to pick up wrong. Omelet to order: spinach (turned out to be very fresh? , mushroom (like to believe it was not from a can , Asparagus-fresh, and Swiss cheese. Came with harsh brown, very agreeable, and 1 english muffin (flat, unremarkable-where is Thomas English Muffin when you need one? . 2 of above at $12.99? each. Really nice overall. 4 Stars. Belgian Waffle (1 with two plump sausages, scrambled eggs and dedicated fixings. That one for Big Mama, a senior with a voracious appetite, never ending if allowed to continue. Decent taste, price close $11?. Picked up, brought home, ate it with a passion (Mexican siesta ? on a Friday? ."

"A different time, a different place, but the same wholesome food! I have fond memories of the original Cubinatas in downtown Milwaukee. The location, the decor, the atmosphere made it a real special destination spot for me. When I found out there was a new, closer one, I was there on my 1st opportunity. We walked in and were invited to sit anywhere we liked. We (ultimately) chose a table inside and waited (kid u not) at least 7-10min before we were waited on or asked for drinks. It. Wasnt. That. Busy. Despite that, staff was friendly and accomodating. Even making a spiked Arnold Palmer for me on the fly. For apps, I ordered everything I really wanted to try: Plaintain platter was delicious, especially the hard strips combined with the guac or mojo sauces...mmmmm! Makin my mouth moist just thinkin about it! The Cubinatas Chicken Tenders were hefty, but a bit dry. The plaintain crust looked really promising but lacked any significant flavor. The chix/raisin empanadas were also good, but less flavorful than I remember. But the ground beef cheese one was great! For entrees, the Macita Bowl was filling! ..crispy pork strips with rice beans peppers! The bed of white rice and black beans had minimal flavor. But the crispy, hefty strips of pork more than made up for that. The meat was bursting with enough flavor for the whole dish. I can only assume the rice beans were made without much salt/seasoning on purpose so patrons could add their own...but there was also no salt/pepper on the tables! The cuban sandwich was delish...cant really go wrong there. The ribs were meaty,tender, flavorful with the guava bbq sauce. But again, the rice and beans lacked any salt/seanoning. But the texture and taste of real quality meat ingredients in every bite of everything I had was ever-present. Thats what makes Cubinatas special! It truly tastes like home-cooking made with love and with the best ingredients! Thats ultimately what I take away from every visit to Cubinatas ...and I will definitly, certainly be back!"

"This is probably the best place to go for lunch on the west side. You get free chips and salsa, and a drink included with the $8 lunch specials. There is a nice list of options for lunch, so you can have quite a delicious meal for $8 plus tip. The restaurant was clean, the food was good, and the service was good too. "I am not exaggerating giving this place 5 stars. The food is excellent, always comes out hot and fresh. The waitstaff are very friendly and helpful and quick!! I've never waited more than 10 minutes. One of my favorite spots in town. Also want to shoutout our waitress, Amie ,who did an absolutely amazing job table touching and serving our every need. 10/10, will definitely eat here again and again. Also highly recommend the Burrito California, my absolute favorite! Dietary restrictions: Orders are customizable and they also have salads and other vegetarian options. I have only tried the Froman Burrito with fresh avocado and extra cheese, along with orange juice, and it is the best breakfast I have had in town. Despite some complaints about pricing and wait times, I believe they are doing their best in the tiny kitchen/restaurant. "We've been visiting Alebrije's for many years, and the food has always been delicious. However, the reason for the three-star rating is the service we received. While our waiter was friendly and took our order promptly, the service faltered after that. Our drinks and meals arrived quickly, and he checked in with us initially to make sure everything was okay. Unfortunately, after that, he disappeared for over 30 minutes, despite the restaurant not being very busy and several other waiters available. We wanted to order fried ice cream for dessert, but we almost skipped it due to the long wait. Eventually, we managed to order it, but once it arrived, the waiter again left us unattended for another 20 to 30 minutes. We ended up organizing our table and gathering our things, and at one point, we even stood up for nearly five minutes while waiting for our check. I finally caught his attention as he walked by and asked for the bill, which he had ready. We paid and left, with our total visit lasting about 90 minutes. Unfortunately, we won't be returning for a while."

I had tacos in many restaurants. Alot of good ones, BUT!!! NONE hit the spot for me like the ones from here. They 're always fast too! Good prices! "My experience at this restaurant was awful from the start. The waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and was just trying to make money. When taking our orders, she repeatedly said "and then," which was confusing and frustrating. She kept trying to clear our plates before we were done eating, which became humorous over time. The food tasted like something you would get at Taco Bell, with my quesadilla being two corn tortillas filled with meat and topped with Velveeta cheese. The overall meal was like a mix between a Mexican pizza and an enchilada, and was not enjoyable. The only good part was the beer, which is hard to mess up."
