"A family member picked this place, and I would honestly have avoided it. It 's...in a Macy 's. Which made my mind go to mediocre mall food. I 'm remarkably tolerant of mediocre food, mind, due to the amount of time I spend in convention hotels, so I didn 't argue. I was...pleasantly...surprised. We were there on Valentine 's Day and not as a couple, but got there early enough that they still had room for four people. The menu reminded me of one of those convention hotels in that it seemed to have some difficulty establishing what it was, but that also meant they had something for everyone. Our waiter was solid, if a little frazzled but I put that down to it being V Day. Food came out at a good speed and everything we ordered was excellent. Normally, I 'd only recommend a mall restaurant to shoppers, but really, Lakeshore Grill is just surprisingly excellent. (It may have got an extra star for the surprise)."
