"For the base, I chose brown rice and spring mix. For proteins, I selected shrimp and chicken (they also have cooked octopus, but raw seafood isn’t my thing). I added some mix-ins like edamame and OG veggies, which included jalapeños and other delicious ingredients. The marinated sauces we used were Wicked Wahine and OG Sauce (I can’t remember the ingredients, but it was delicious!).
For toppings, I went with pickled ginger, scallions, mango salsa, seaweed, chili flakes, sesame seeds, and tempura crisps. To finish it off, I drizzled on some ono ono and togarashi (these sauces made the dish!). The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and the bowl looked and smelled incredible.
I couldn’t wait to get home to enjoy my lunch creation. When I got there, I grabbed my fork and took a bite... Oh my gosh! The flavors blended perfectly for a delightful experience. I couldn’t help but smile and let out happy moans, which caught the attention of others nearby, and soon I had two more forks sharing my meal. Everyone kept asking, “What is this? It’s so good!”
After I finished my bowl (and shared a bit too), I went back to Island Fin Poke just two hours after my first visit to buy two more bowls! I will definitely be coming back in the future and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for variety!"
