"We enjoyed our dinner here despite my husband’s steak being overcooked. The manager went above and beyond to address it so we will return. Here’s what we ordered:Fried calamari: hot and crispy, well seasoned. Delicious lemon aioli sauce. 5/5Crab cake: one large lump crab cake. It wasn’t heated fully so the center was cool. It tasted pretty good though. The Napa cabbage slaw was too vinegary. 4/5New York strip steak: was cooked well done and was dry and chewy. It arrived sliced so we are surprised the chef allowed it to be served. When we brought it to our server’s attention, she could see it was overcooked and immediately brought it to the manager’s attention. The manager came over and apologized then brought my husband a complimentary bowl of the crab and corn chowder so he had something to eat while I ate my entree. We thought that was a nice gesture. When the new steak arrived, it was cooked to the appropriate temperature, but lacked flavor. We wouldn’t recommend the New York strip. 3/5Scallops and duck confit croquette: this was the chef special that evening. The scallops were perfectly cooked (which can be challenging). The duck confit croquette was very tasty. I haven’t had anything like that before. The kale and corn quinoa was pretty good too. 5/5Mushrooms (family size side dish): very tasty! 4/5 because it was lukewarm instead of hot.Crab and corn chowder: delicious but very rich and heavy. 5/5Peach cobbler with vanilla gelato: arrived steaming hot; very tasty! Instead of the traditional cobbler topping, their version has a streusel topping over the peaches. They also drizzled caramel sauce over it. I personally thought it was sweet enough without the caramel but my 9yo really loved it. Also want to note that this dessert was complimentary from the manager due to the steak issue. Not something we expected at all given that we already got the soup. 5/5Watermelon jalapeño Our server was fantastic. Very professional and friendly, knew the menu very well, and gave great recommendations. She also handled the steak issue very well. 5/5We plan to return and will probably stick to the seafood menu items."

"This was a special dinner for my husband’s birthday. I was looking for the white tablecloth experience, but didn’t get it. Before we sat, I stopped to ask the guy who was seating us about another table and he said “this is all we got”. There were tables around us available, but none with a white table cloth near the windows. On the other side of the wall all the tables had white table cloths. Not sure of the criteria to sit over there. The website said casual dining. We were dressy casual but wearing jackets so you could tell what we had on. It was an issue for me. It took much too long to get our drinks. Not sure why. The soup came out fast, the assistant manager brought it to the table. It was flavored well but needed much more crab in it. assistant manager brought salad out quickly. But our food took so long to come and cane to the table cold. We sent it back. The replacement was better that the entree was hot but veggies still barely room temp. We ate what we could instead of sending it back and asked for the check. The check even took too long to come. Assistant Manager tried to make things right but I think they just wasn’t prepared for the Christmas Eve crowd. I am not sure I will return but I think the restaurant has potential to do better on another day. The couples on both sides of us had similar experiences. One couple ordered a drink with their dessert and it arrived after the dessert was eaten and the dishes cleared. He sent it back. Made my decision about dessert very easy to make. No, thank you. Overall rating fair. Service took too long; food was lacking; ambiance was lacking; all in all, I didn’t get the experience that I was aiming for for my husband’s birthday for the cost I was willing and had to pay. It put a shadow over our celebration but I recovered well later. Glad I brought a cake with us, since we didn’t even try dessert at the restaurant. Maybe.. on another trip. But I am undecided about that."

"I was expecting a fine dining Italian place when Andrew told me he reserved an Italian place, and I can tell you how much I dislike junk food, and usually I don't opt for pizza. But man this place is amazing!!! Now that I look at their overall rating, I start to wonder whether all the high ratings come from healthier eaters, LOL.We tried their Winter Betty pizza as I'm a huge fan of goat cheese. I'm loving it. 5 out of 5. Nice moisture we had in the pizza, and yet they are crispy on the edge.Absolutely love the recommended Acorn Pumpkins. That became our highlight of the nights. The cream cheese in the middle makes it perfect!! 5.5 out of 5. This is probably the most underrated dish of the whole restaurant. The octopus for the table? Nah, 3 out of 5. Too stiff at least the one served to us. A little overrated and certainly overpriced for the taste and portion.Dessert: we had the flourless chocolate cake. It's a disaster. 1 out of 5. Tastes like... well I don't know even how to start, like powder... very dry.Drinks are super well made. I had rum with coconut etc. the coconut sprinkles bring it home! Andrew also had a martini that he enjoyed.Service is amazing!!! Our server recommended quite some dishes to us and he certainly made our night with the Acorn Pumpkin recommendation. Although the dessert is kind of a mistake. But I wouldn't blame the messenger, probably the cook who messes things a little."
