"Although we don't live in the area, we decided to place a takeout order. Typically, our dining experiences at this restaurant have been great, but this time was a disappointment. My grandson ordered fish and chips, but the fish was soggy, and the fries were so overly salted that they were inedible. My husband chose a bacon cheeseburger, and again, the fries were excessively salty. The bun was also soggy, and there were no condiments, cheese, lettuce, or tomato—just bacon and a burger patty that was overcooked and dry; he had requested it medium rare. I ordered chicken fried steak with a side salad, but the salad had an unpleasant taste, reminiscent of cleaning products, making it unappetizing. The chicken fried steak was cooked so long that it was almost impossible to cut through. My daughter’s only complaint was that her medium rare steak was actually well done, resulting in a tough and dry dish. All of this cost us $78. When I called to express my concerns, I was told I needed to come in person right away to speak to someone, despite explaining that it was a lengthy drive for us. If we had dined in, we would have sent these items back. I was disappointed that my concerns went unaddressed during my call, and I'm completely dissatisfied with the quality of the food. We won't be returning here again."
