"Delicious food, but be ready for a wait! We visited Lewis' Restaurant for the first time, eager to see if it lived up to the hype from the reviews. I made a reservation and arrived a few minutes early, but ended up waiting 22 minutes to be seated. To make it more frustrating, another table without a reservation was seated before us. The restaurant was bustling and quite noisy. While I usually don't mind slower service during busy times, I felt somewhat overlooked, aside from when our food was delivered. My drink order came without lemon, but another staff member helped with that after I asked. I attempted to get a soda refill, but the fountain wasn't working properly, leading to another 20-30 minutes of waiting—again, no lemon. As for the food, the salads were average, mainly consisting of iceberg lettuce, which was a bit disappointing. The salads included thinly sliced onion, cucumber slices, and cherry tomatoes, and the dressing was good. The warm bread was a little too squishy, making it difficult to spread the cold, hard butter on without completely squishing the bread. We ordered Utica greens, which were quite tasty, and I would certainly order them again, despite the slightly higher price than expected. My companion chose a special of creamy risotto with shrimp, which was delicious! I had the stuffed shells with meatballs. The meatballs were excellent, and the shells were good, but I wished they had more filling. The sauce was superior to what you typically find in restaurants. We had to ask the hostess for takeout containers and the bill. I prefer to box my leftovers myself, so I wasn’t thrilled when she took our plates to the back to box them up. It took quite a while to get them back along with the check. In total, we spent almost two hours from the moment we entered until we left. Lastly, I recommend dressing in layers, as it can be quite chilly inside the restaurant."
