"I haven't actually eaten at the restaurant, but I ordered a meal to go before leaving and it was delicious. The porridge I had was flavorful and satisfying. I would definitely go back for more. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well, so I might have to return on Sunday for another bite."

"La Capannina is located in a small strip of shopping center along the lively Applegarth Road. There is a decent amount of parking and there is a very nicely furnished dining room with a lot of seating. There is a beautiful mosaic image that decorates the wall and there is a separate seating area if you are in a hurry and just want to grab some slices. You also have a wide selection of pizza/toppings to choose from the counter (a certain plus). I ordered a piece of plain, a pasta disc and a grandma disc. The plane was nothing spiritual. Only your average slice with lots of cheese and a good, fluffy crust. The pasta was also on average. The vodka sauce tasted decent and the slice was very full. The Grandma pizza is where this spot really shines. The pane has a beautiful, crispy base with tasteful, clobular tomato sauce. The Mozzarella is fresh and accompanied by a primed parmesan. Overall, this is not a bad place and if you are a fan of Grandma Pizza... you will not be disappointed."

"The most authentic, fresh, delicious Italian food.. we got free focaccia with our order... we enjoyed everything single bite of it. Try the potato pizza with rosemarie , extra virgin olive oil and Sicilian sea salt, its a delightful experience. I got linguini with white clams, so fresh, so tasty! My bf got the lasagna classica, he couldnt get enough of it and his mom got spaghetti cacio e pepe , which btw, I think the pasta is hand made, thats what it taste like, everything from scratch, everything fresh and delicious!"

"change the menu to read English. the waiter spends to much time explaining the menu when he has other duties to perform and other guest suffer. an Italian restaurant should smell like garlic when you walk in or at least smell the aroma's of the Italian food cooking. the food was Okay. nothing to write home about. I had the Carbonara, a little bland. not the best I have had not the worst. it was Okay. The bread didn't have much taste. the dipping sauce was good. Escargot I thought was very good. wait staff, well, we had to ask times for water. when first seated, it took a while for the waiter to even show up and greet us. Which seemed unusual because there were only tables full at that point. we didn't receive the complementary bread until after we had are appetizer just not a over all good experience for first time attending this restaurant. no need to go back either."

"My family and I ordered take out from Ristorante Castello tonight. I decided on the filet for $48.00. (One of the pricier dishes) The reason why I bring up cost is due to the quality of the dish. I received the filet with 10 green beans and that was all for the meal. For this cost, you would expect a better presentation and quantity of food. I called the restaurant to speak to the “acting” manager and her response was, “This is how we serve it in the restaurant if you were dining in”. No other explanation and no apology or the want to please the customer. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. See the picture attached."

"Had picked this place for my sisters 15yr anniversary and I wasn’t disappointed! Good wine selection, duck meat balls are amazing, risotto di mare was so delicious and pretty big plate, my husband ordered the chestnut pasta which is so unique and very tasty, just an overall wonderful experience. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the owner was too. Loved the ambiance because it wasn’t too dark inside but very cozy and romantic enough for the occasion. And prices were so reasonable! You would be triple in Manhattan and getting far less on your plate! So happy I chose to go there! My sister and her husband found a new date spot!"

"Y.U.M.M.Y! What a great find after a looooong weekend of skating and I wish I would have found it our first day in town. They close at 3 and its the perfect quiet lunch spot removed just a few blocks from Venice Beach craziness. The owner was very welcoming and kind. He had great conversation and was super sweet. We were very happy with the cleanliness and felt completely comfortable in their outdoor seating area. Blah, blah, blah... now the food! BEST greek salad I've ever had. The olive oil was light and flavorful as was the salad! I asked for the owners recommendation on his fav pizza and he did not disappoint folks! You have to try the CARNE AMOR and have him add his gorgonzola cheese to it. If youre into crust and dough VC is a thin crust that's perfectly soft with just a little crunch. Yuuummmmyyyyy. Top it off with one of his yummy hand made deserts or Gelato."

"We've been to this great local bistro several times and are never disappointed. The food is excellent, ambience is quiet, friendly, romantic. Every dish we've tried, which is nearly the whole menu, is exquisite. Flavors and presentation are all great. "We weren’t given the specials of the day even though we heard it given to every other table that was seated after us and honestly I would have picked one of the specials I overheard. Our waiter didn’t seem to have any interest in us although he did with other patrons. Food was good but not exceptional. Too high priced. Pasta dishes were at least $20 and chicken piccata was $38!?!?!!!! Pretty sure not going to return. I would recommend the food but nothing else really."

"Have not been to Jay's in a while and decided to go there tonight. I sat at the bar. As always, the food was great and my server (Bob) was excellent and paid attention to every detail! The atmosphere and service reminded of the excellence Jay himself provided back then. My evening culminated in discovering a $68 parking ticket fine on my windshield ... since I had not been to Jay in a few years, the courtesy or welcome lady (Jeannie) proceeded to take the ticket from me and says she will handle it! Amy, thanks for continuing Jay's tradition of providing great food, excellent service and great staff!"

"beautiful and picturesque. we were greeted by a pleasant hostess and then sat to have carlos as waiter. he was wonderful in every sight. the tortellini de salvia with its delicious sage cream sauce and homemade pasta melted in my mouth. it remembered my travels in italy. simply and yet tasty! bring us their own bottle wein but remember that there is a cork fee of 20 dollars. I'm back!"
