"This is a first time review. Overall, the ambiance based on the location and the physical structure are what make this the best choice for a special evening if you are in the Taos Ski Valley. The structure is truly old world a rough hewn log lodge complete with appropriate stuffed mountain animals and lighting by Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. The wine selection is quite robust given its remoteness, emphasizing Continental as well as US bottles. Our salads were generously portioned and nicely seasoned. Fish was perfectly cooked and osso buco also well seasoned. Excellent bread and water service, tables spaced well so that it felt very personal at dinner (but it is a madhouse at lunch! . Espresso excellent. We were too full for dessert but choices of apple strudel or flourless german chocolate cake looked fantastic. If we ever return to Taos, we will return here for sure."
