"Black Sheep is a great restaurant. The service is almost always excellent and this trip was no exception. Our waiter was great, personable and prompt. We had multiple happy hour cocktails which were of high quality and delivered quickly. The happy hour drinks are a great value. The Dusty Boot is my favorite and I hope it never leaves the menu. The food was good and tasty. The kitchen at Black Sheep is one of the best in Jacksonville. However the price for the food, even for the happy hour items, is getting out of hand. I have visited Black Sheep since they have opened. I’ve watched the pricing on the food increase over time and several items are now 30-50% higher than they were several years ago. Vegetable sides for dinner are now $7-8 dollars. A large salad is $14. These items used to be $5 and $10. The cheapest sliders for happy hour are $9. There is less meat on all three sliders combined than would be in a single small sandwich. The cheapest main for dinner is a $15 burger WITHOUT CHEESE. A slice of cheese is $1. One. Dollar. So $16 for a cheese burger and some shoestring fries. I know it’s grass fed beef but still! It’s obscene. If someone at Black Sheep is reading this, please, work on that menu and the pricing. You have slowly priced a loyal customer out of visiting your restaurant. You have good food but the value is no longer there. You have competition now, even in your own neighborhood. I love your restaurant and want you to win me back."

"Tiny Lou’s is a basic Instagram Influencer’s wet dream. Lots of photo ops but nary a good dish! We had a GREAT server, Fiona, who suggested all of the dishes cocktails we were excited to try. The Good Their new signature cocktail, the Ango Colada, was delicious! Rum, bitters, pineapple juice, coconut milk, and lime make for an excellent drink. The OverHyped Buratta Bread Service. Our bread was not freshly baked. The buratta in the center was ice cold and the bread was fall apart crusty, not pillowy. Our serving was a leftover piece from the day before and reheated. This was the start to our meal and pretty much set the tone… The Flavorless The French Onion Soup was so oily and flavorless. The dish is lacking salt and the onions were actually still crunchy. The Claremont Burger is an unseasonable patty of beef cooked within an inch of its death. This was ordered at a medium temperature and came out well done. The fries that accompanied this burger were so salty, they should have been added to the soup! The OverCooked and OverSalted The Hanger Steak (ordered medium) and Truffle Fries arrived as one charred brick of well done steak along with the saltiest fries ever. The truffle and Parmesan smelled wonderful when the plate was presented, but the fries were inedible due to the amount of salt that covered them. We were really disappointed in the whole meal as the service, cocktails and restaurant are wonderful. Adding t Tiny Lou’s to the ‘one and done’ list."

"We made a reservation for 12 send then had an additional person added when we arrived to the restaurant and they were able to accommodate us which was one of the things I loved most about this place but wveything else just wasn't up to par. The table took over 10 min to get ready eventhough we had all arrived earlier and were ready to be seated 5 min before the intended reservation time, the server was a little standoffish, we asked him to split check in the beginning and he brushed us off and proceeded to do things his own way. The food that was recommended was ok. What really bothered me was when ee had to pay the bill, he split the bill in four without asking us and we were left trying to figure out who had what and some of us needed up paying a lot more then others. I understand there's a shortage of employees but they should still be selective with the ones they hire because this experience could've been a lot better had the server just stopped for a minute and listen to his customers."

"This was our first visit to Spruce and we were excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, we had some issues with our meals, but hats off to the management and our server for the service they provided and going over the top to do right by us. It does not go unappreciated! "The holiday tea was extremely short staffed. We waited well over minutes before we sought out someone to greet us, and even then it took a while. Once seated, it was another minutes before a server came to greet us, and for all of this, gratuity was included. The gluten free option was two pieces of white bread cut in half with some egg salad and chicken salad, plus chocolate covered strawberries and one small scone—for Absolutely not worth it, and while the decor was beautiful and the decorations were warm, I left feeling disappointed"

"Amazing! We started with the biscuit with gravy. The DayTripper was a great drink, not too strong but strong enough. A little tangy but sweet too! The **** Mary had a really good amount of spice and “pepperey-ness.” The French toast was a 10/10. Not too rich and sweet, the whipped cream on top had hints of vanilla. The Shrimp A La Plancha was so thick yet still creamy. The whole meal was just perfect! The atmosphere was great as was the staff. Our waitress was very pleasant and quick! Can’t recommend enough."

"I would have given a 5 star rating if not for the fact that after we were seated no one approached us for about 10 minutes. They had a breakdown in communication and no server was assigned our table. We were rescued by Celeste, a member of management. She took over serving us and was very apologetic. She saved the day. Because of her we will return. Thank you Celeste you were excellent."

"Service was spectacular from Rachelle, she was a super star. The food was okay, but like everything at this particular resort it is overpriced and lacking soul. The sandwiches come with fries by default but when you ask there are a ton of options to sub in. I went with a salad (better pairing with seared ahi) but wish that rice and Mac salad was available. There are a number of Keiki options, including catch of the day, but again fries centric meal options devalue what could be a healthy and interesting option."

"I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their defense, we went there right after the holiday weekend and maybe it was a little different. It won't stop us from coming back in the hope that it was an anomaly rather than the norm."

"We were staying at the Wailea Beach Resort, so we stopped in here for both lunch and dinner. Both times I made a reservation through Open Table, but we didn't need it. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the open-air atmosphere was wonderful! My husband claims they had the best fries in Maui! I have celiac so I adhere to a gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free diet. Our server, Rene, was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me figure out what my options were. At lunch, I had a modified version of the avocado toast (on gluten free bread) and really enjoyed it, but was still hungry so I ordered the acai bowl. It was great! Sadly, I had to leave off the granola because it wasn't gluten free but the rest was lovely. When we came back for dinner, I ordered the pan seared chicken breast. Our server said I was able to eat the dish as-is, so I had it with the garlic rice, coconut curry sauce, and local vegetables. It was very good! Overall, I recommend!"

"The Shoshito Peppers are amazing. So addicting. The Fried Chicken Sandwich fries are also good. And their cocktails are on point. We had the Old Fashioned Manhattan....yum. We sat outside and overlooked Gallagher Way which happened to be doing Movie on the Big screen! Only down side was the service. We rarely saw our waitress. We were on a schedule and had to go look for her. But been there before and had no issues with the staff."

"Our evening began on a disappointing note when I discovered that my OpenTable reservation had been canceled, something I definitely did not do. I was informed that a staff member may have accidentally canceled it. Fortunately, they were able to seat us at a table outside. We were served water, and the waitress took our cocktail orders, which arrived in a reasonable timeframe. For our meals, we each ordered hamburgers, but it took 45 minutes for them to arrive. While the burgers were good, they didn't impress for the price of $22. Additionally, a vodka martini made with house vodka cost $14. The reason we chose this restaurant was that we were attending a show there, but the experience has made us hesitant to return in the near future. There are numerous better dining options nearby to consider before heading to a show at Margaritaville."

"The restaurant really needs to revert to the old prices at Tortilla Flats. Right now, the prices feel a bit excessive—$16 or more for a salad that seemed to consist mainly of a $4 salad mix from local grocery stores, along with some nuts, and the option to add meat for nearly $10? This is in Placerville of all places! And don't even get me started on the $22 burrito. That said, the food was very fresh and of good quality. While it didn't have as much flavor as places like Paco's, the quality was impressive. I really hope the prices come down, as they might drive me and others to choose different restaurants more often."

"This was an ideal place for a delicious meal in a beautiful environment. Our food and staff were all 5 stars, but all their seats are outside (which is beautiful and ideal) and there are no fans. It is quite hot in summer, and during our last 3 courses, the flies were absolutely swarm us and our food, and I was drowned in sweat. The installation of fans would have made a big difference. Regarding food, everything was delicious. The cocktails were fabulous, the salads were satisfying, and the ducks were perfectly cooked. The waiting staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We are definitely back in comfortable weather."

"My daughter who lives in ATL picked this spot for her law school grad dinner a few Sat. Evenings ago. There were 12 of us from all over the country. Gave it 5 stars for a number of reasons. No reservation but they gladly found a long table for us in the atrium area. Check. My older dad had challenges with the high metal outdoor seats so they gave him a table indoors without a reservation. Check. I live in city with superb Japanese food I found all of the dishes to be top notch. Check. Prices were very fair. Check. Finally, and most importantly, the ppl service were stellar, especially in light of all of the shifting of ppl between the indoor outdoor seating ! Check ! Just can't get over how truly nice accommodating everyone was. Bottom line Thx love to all of the kind folks at 8ARM highly recommended this spot !"
