"I have been a regular at Doris for about 10 years, visiting twice a week. However, I hadn’t been there in a year due to the pandemic. This morning, February 11, 2021, I made the decision to return, but I did not feel safe at all. The cashier was not wearing a mask; she only had a small plastic shield with a large opening on one side, which didn’t adequately cover her face. When I pointed out that she needed to wear a mask since the shield was ineffective, she replied, "You are not a doctor, and you are not a police officer." I responded that I didn’t need to be a doctor or a police officer, as I follow CDC guidelines. She was quite rude and dismissed me, stating, "I don’t want to discuss this with you." After that experience, I cannot see myself returning to this establishment, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid it. My husband and I believe in supporting local businesses, but it's unsettling to see that some of them don’t prioritize our safety. They also offer prepared food, and it’s hard to imagine how safe it is to eat their meals under these circumstances."
