"A delicious brunch spot with southern comfort! Much thanks to Willis C. for the recommendation and company! There was plenty of seating when we arrived at 11:30am on a Wednesday, but the place got packed by the time we left! Be sure to plan your time here accordingly. We enjoyed a carafe of Ellen's mimosa, which included sparkling brut, a splash of Grand Marnier and choice of juice(s). We opted for OJ and grapefruit. I had to try one of their eggs Benedict. I was torn between the fried chicken or grits benny. When the fried chicken was recommended, I was thrown with another curve ball decision between the chicken and steak! Since the steak was favored, I obliged. The steak was flavorful and it wasn't too heavy. It was definitely a unique combination with poached eggs that I would probably never see back home! The side salad was fresh and balanced my dish nicely. The biscuits and gravy were perfection. Willis' go-to, the Big Ol' Breakfast, came with eggs, sausages, hash browns and choice of biscuits, pancake or French toast. I'm glad he went with the French toast because I got try it and it was just the right soft and sweet bites I needed to end my satisfying meal! The hosts and server were very nice and attentive. Not sure about parking since I came in foot, but it is located close to public transit, museums and shops to check out in the area!"

"Java Bistro at Five Forks in Simpsonville, SC, is a gem that I am thrilled to have discovered! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm, welcoming ambiance and the friendly, attentive staff. This place offers a perfect blend of cozy coffee shop vibes and a vibrant, community-centered atmosphere. I decided to try something a bit out of the ordinary with my order: a custom omelet and a Cortado, a rare find in most cafes. The experience exceeded my expectations on all fronts. First, let’s talk about the custom omelet. It was a delightful culinary experience! Java Bistro allows you to choose from a wide array of fresh ingredients, ensuring your omelet is exactly how you like it. I opted for a combination of spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Each ingredient was fresh and flavorful, and the omelet was cooked to perfection. It was fluffy, with the right amount of gooey cheese and a perfect balance of textures and tastes. The side of toast was crispy and paired beautifully with the omelet. It's clear that the kitchen staff takes pride in their work, focusing on quality and presentation. Now, the Cortado – what a treat! This Spanish-origin coffee drink is not commonly found in many places, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it on the menu. A Cortado is essentially a shot of espresso cut with an equal amount of warm milk to reduce the acidity. The barista at Java Bistro nailed it. The espresso was rich and robust, without being overly bitter, and the milk was perfectly steamed to create a smooth, velvety texture. It was evident that the barista knew their craft well, as the drink was expertly balanced and served at the ideal temperature. This rare gem of a drink was the perfect complement to my meal. The service was another highlight of my visit. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed and checking in to ensure my meal was satisfactory. The atmosphere of Java Bistro is both relaxing and invigorating, with a mix of comfortable seating and a stylish, modern decor. It’s an excellent spot for catching up with friends, working on a laptop, or just enjoying some quiet time with a good book and a great cup of coffee. Overall, Java Bistro at Five Forks offers an exceptional dining experience. The combination of high-quality food, excellent coffee, and outstanding service makes it a must-visit spot in Simpsonville. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by Java Bistro. You won’t be disappointed!"
