"I came with friends last February for a birthday dinner had an incredible experience so much so, that we all agreed to come back to celebrate the next friend birthday in July. The experience the 2nd time, unfortunately, just didnât compare from a service perspective. Despite clearly putting in the reservation notes that this was a birthday celebration, there was no acknowledgement of this until prompted. For our February birthday visit, we were greeted with small glasses of sparkling wine, which we didnât order but were such a special and wonderful touch! This time, nothing. In February, a complimentary dessert was presented, with a candle at the end of the meal. This time, a dessert menu was presented to the table, without acknowledgement of the birthday. When reminded (a second time) that we had a birthday, the server did bring out a dessert to share. For the price we paid for dinner here (and we chose a fairly pricey wine of which we had two bottles), I expected better of this experience and was sadly disappointed. Perhaps the server was having a bad day and he wanted to be elsewhere? Thatâs the way it felt to me. I wanted to like this restaurant as much the 2nd visit as I did the first, but that was not the caseâ¦"
