"Aside from our server Abe, who made a genuine effort to address the long waits from both the bar and kitchen, our experience was quite disappointing. Despite the bar being empty and the restaurant not being very crowded when we arrived, our drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, and the soda was flat. It took a while to get our order placed, and the food took an hour to arrive. When it did come, my son's steak had to be sent back twice: it was first served medium rare, then medium, and finally, after we had all finished eating, it was finally cooked to medium well. The rest of the food was just mediocre at best and definitely not worth the prices charged. We felt the need to ask for the manager after the second attempt to get my son's steak right. He adjusted our bill and didn't charge for the steak, but he seemed indifferent and a bit frustrated himself. The restaurant clearly needs food runners and busboys, and using trays to serve drinks and food would greatly improve the situation in the absence of runners. We were excited to visit based on strong recommendations for a special dinner with our son, who is a steak enthusiast."
