"Mt. Vernon is a restaurant that I frequently visit in my local area. The specials they offer are truly exceptional. The twin lobsters, cooked to perfection and priced at under $14.00 during the special promotion, are absolutely delicious. It's hard to find better quality lobsters at such a great price anywhere else. Their nightly dinners for two are also a fantastic deal. I highly recommend the prime rib special on Mondays, which includes soup or salad, potato, vegetables, and dessert. The rib is so flavorful and tender. If they have them available, they also serve pop-overs with dinner. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Mt. Vernon is also known for serving one of the best Bloody Mary's in town."

"Service was first rate. Food was excellent. Everything we had was so very good. There were three of us. We had raw oysters, coconut fried grouper, lobster mac n cheese, flash fried calamari, and crab legs and a nice cabernet. Left nothing on the plates and zero room for dessert. This was our favorite restaurant on our trip. Highly recommend."

"I came in on a Wednesday during parents ' week, which was busier than a typical Wednesday, according to the staff. I got the salmon risotto, which I was hoping would be good, but I was blown away. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the risotto was more impressive as it was cooked to the perfect al dente, with just a slight pop to the risotto. It was by far the best I 've ever had, by far. I had to give kudos to the kitchen staff because it was that good. They told me that they 've been working on it for quite a while and they were very pleased to hear that they nailed it. To top it off, the bartender, Amita, was exceptional as well. Positive energy all around, and the overall experience makes me want to come back on Wednesday nights when it 's quieter much more often. I 've been to Murphy 's many times in the past, but they 've really raised the bar in my opinion. They were really good before, but I think I 've found my new favorite place. "We stopped in on a Friday night for our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is great- right on the water, you get a great view of the water from almost any spot in the restaurant. We called ahead for a reservation, but you can walk-in for outdoor seating. We, of course, tried the lobster options- one boiled and one Fishermen’s Style lightly baked with scallops. The traditional boil was great while the Fishermen’s Style was slightly overdone. It’s a great spot to stop by. The only caveat is that they can get really busy which means you could end up like us, waiting an hour for the check."

"2021: I would like to add now: We had our rehearsal dinner and it was everything we dreamed of amazing food, drinks, and desserts the apps kept coming! SO delicious. There are outside spaces as well where you can enjoy the scenery and ocean. The menus, drink selections, and desserts are so abundant and unique. For example, they offer specialty bars such as, a Moscow mule bar, sangria bar, etc. They also offer fun dessert options like an ice cream bar, chocolate fountain, and many more. What's better than all of that?? The staff and service!!! Both are beyond amazing. We were greeted by Mike who waited for us to arrive at the front entrance, opened the door for us, and greeted us by name. He was also very helpful and pleasant over the phone, as well as throughout our tour. He showed us all of our options and answered all the questions we had. Katelyn was also very kind and helpful via email. The service is phenomenal and the place is spectacular we looked at many other places and this was the only place that blew us away. We are SO excited about our rehearsal dinner and to be having it at the Danversport Yatch Club. We look forward to an amazing dinner and evening this summer. Woot!! "Flagrant Usage of Butter. Everything I ate at this restaurant was DRENCHED in butter. The rolls that came out first were the consistency of cake. Probably with the same amount of butter. The flour used to make the rolls was bleached and processed beyond recognition. At one point in time, the flour might have been wheat. My fingers were oily after I picked up the cracker bread. When I bought my wonton soup I put an item in his garbage can and he started screaming, yelling, and running around the kitchen banging stuff saying how dare I put something in his garbage can—this is not a public garbage can! "Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most restaurants to be overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we walked in - that's a huge plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She commented that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"We've visited this restaurant about five times since it opened, and each experience has been consistently delightful. The food is fresh and beautifully presented. We've tried many of the rolls, and the BMW roll has become a family favorite, adored by both of our kids. One of our children loves the roasted rice and often orders it with his choice of protein. For a shared family dish, we always get the bamboo, which is packed with fresh steamed vegetables. I've had the curry soup several times with shrimp, and I typically order it with brown rice and extra steamed veggies. It's so delicious! I can't wait for our next meal!"

"So where do I start? 1. We arrived for an early dinner at 4:30pm. There were probably only 5 other tables with people and somehow we got seated at a floating table in the middle, next to the sushi bar and the kitchen door. Considering how big therestaurant is and how many open tables there were that was ridiculous. We were only a party of 2. 2. I ordered the special shrimp tempura bowl. It wasn't shrimp tempura. It was a deep fried shrimp in the same batter as the fish and chips. Presentationwas pretty but for the price? I wouldn't get it again. 3 pieces of shrimp, 2 asparagus split into 4 pieces, and 4 slices of ared bell pepper. 3. Fish and chips the fish was very thick cut and at the same time it fell into pieces with each bite. We'vedefinitely had better elsewhere. 4. The clam chowder was underwhelming. I would not recommend it here. 5. The only item weenjoyed was the calamari. 6. On the bright side our waiter Zack was great!"

I talked to friends about sushi and it was great. it melts like a delicious sushi sky filled with cute asiates and perfectly sticky rice. it was so good that I went home and high points! best sushi on the beach! "I told so many people about this restaurant. I first heard from a lady employee of mine that she had eaten nine times in two weeks. I'd say this must be a good place. So, I've often been with myself and I recently brought segments of my family from Birmingham at the last two visits. They all loved it, we definitely welcome you in Pell City. Here we need a restaurant that pays attention to the detail that your fresh approach to Asian food presentation is very refreshing. The normal oriental Asian restaurant in Alabama is usually a buffet. What phase or thing of the past nobody likes a buffet anymore, it is unhealthy. People want high-quality food freshly prepared it only for them – and this is done with this restaurant. If you don't take a chance, you'll never know. You have an extensive sushi menu along with traditional Chinese and Japanese dishes. In operation of family who specifically moved here to open this restaurant in Pell City. I live at Veteran Home and I told everyone here that they have to visit this restaurant, they are open seven days a week. I personally take the district bus out there when I can and when people visit me, this is the first restaurant I want to take people with me."

"I have been searching for a place to get decent sushi close to my home so I could trust getting it delivered.. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I just had the best Philly Roll (it was my gateway sushi- it’s now mandatory), a Spicy Tuna Roll (sooo good butdefinitely spicy), a Volcano Roll Tempura (delicious), and a miso soup (so good). Literally some of the best sushi I’ve hadaround here. Definitely adding Thai Sushi Eats to my regular rotation!"

"We have tried Ichiban a couple of times now as a dine in and as a pick up destination. Never had any issues with with situation. I love the fact that when you order large amounts that the label the lid of where what roll(s) is where on the platter. Haven’t tried a sushi roll I haven’t liked yet. The soups are great, presentation is always top notch especially for a restaurant that has very reasonable prices considering the prices of other near by restaurants with similar dishes. When picking up they always provide plenty of sauces for dipping. I would highly recommend giving them a try as I know we will continue to eat here as well."

"So first off everything we ordered was great. Not from the area. Was on Google searching for a close seafood joint and stumbled across this little gem. Glad we decided to nix the seafood and try this place(although they do have seafood). Shrimp dumplings were slamming. Umai salad was also slamming. We got the ramen with pork, it was delicious and the noodles were perfect. Got the BBQ squid it was pretty good also. And then came the sushi. We got the volcano, mega lobster, and California rolls. All very delicious. I'd recommend giving this place to anyone who loves Asian cuisine. Hoping I make it over this way soon again so I can visit again and try more from the menu. Or maybe I'll just make a special trip to eat here again. Would be worth it. Thanks you guys for a great dining experience."

"We ordered three grouper sandwiches. We were very disappointed the looked exactly alike has if they were frozen. Also, it looked has if they were kept under the heat lamp for a long time. One of us ordered the tuna taco, it was also very disappointing mostly filler and over cooked tuna. I have a timeshare in the area and have eaten there for years, after this experience it will be several years before I darken their door again."

"For the price, I am very disappointed with the amount and flavor of the hibachi lunches and dinner. Prior to Pandemic I would order from this restaurant about 6-8 times a month and since the Pandemic about 3 times a month. Today I decided not to purchase from this restaurant anymore until the quality of their food changes back to normal. Not wasting my hard earned money for poor quality and an handful of rice with hardly any meat and vegetables. Very disappointed."
